Grandpa is my name and LUXURY is NOW my GAME!! Don't get me wrong, I have lived the hardest and most miserable life up until now... so NOW it is about LUXURY, FOOD, FUN and a FRIEND to live the rest of my life with! I am not a young man but I have what a lot of the younger dogs do not.... LOYALTY, CALMNESS, a cold NOSE for a sweet pet on my head and MOST OF ALL, LOVE LOVE LOVE to GIVE!! I have lived on the streets but I actually SAVED MYSELF :) A couple of experienced trappers were in my neighborhood trying to catch another dog that was injured and needed help... well, I kind of kept trying to get my OWN help!! YUP, I trapped myself 5 TIMES before they finally decided to help me TOO :)Talk about SMART?? I wasn't going to let them LEAVE ME THERE. Luckily once they took me in, my injured friend was saved too- so WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER, if you ask me!! Now I am in an amazing foster home, I am loved and fed and LOOK- I AM AT THE BEACH!!! Who would ever think that a hardened and starving old dog would be living it up on the BEACH??? God did, and I am SO THANKFUL to be where I am today! I sleep in the bed, I follow my "foster mom" around EVERYWHERE :) I love love LOVE KIDS and have the patience of a saint with my foster kids :) AND I love other dogs and am tolerant of kitties! This is my life now, and I am praying you will see me and give me the home of my dreams, family and food and love and HOPE for the rest of my days! Hurry up and adopt me, I have been fully vetted, had 9 teeth removed during my dental because my teeth just weren't good after years on the streets. I am neutered, and am heartworm positive but am in the middle of my treatment and will be ready to go home VERY VERY SOON!! PLEASE ADOPT....DON'T SHOP!!! MY FRIENDS AND MY LIFE DEPEND ON IT!!! I have moved to Rose's Rescue to find my new home. I am a tad shy with humans, but sure think I can hold my own with the other dogs. I do love to play. I am 4 months old, neutered, and up to date with vaccines. I am ready for my new home. I do love to snuggle in bed with my person. Didn't take me long to learn that! I am a pup, so I am of course in need of training.  I weigh in at around 10lbs right now, but expect to be around 30-40 lbs when full grown.  Just the perfect medium size! My litter mates and I were rescued by some wonderful people from a bad situation in Kentucky. Now here I am in a wonderful foster home with Rose's Rescue. They are going to help me find my forever home. I am a friendly, outgoing love bug of a guy. I am 4 months old and weigh around 11 lbs. I will probably grow to be 30-40lbs, you know, just the right size. I do have a lot of puppy energy and just love getting all the attention. Of course I am a pup and am in need of training. Have you seen my Eeyore?? I mean, searching all over and he seems to be hiding from me!! Tigger is the name and I do NOT bounce on my tail but honestly, my tail is LONG enough to accomodate me :) I was found with my friend, Honey, left on a country road alone and scared we were. A towel, bowl of water and some food were left for us but we were still out on a country road with NO HOPE!! So, I failed to mention that our "owner" left us on a road, less than 1 mile from the rescue............. SO, you know what happened, right?? Those rescue people saw us, as they were leaving from the rescue, and..... YOU GUESSED IT!!! They SAVED US!! We are the sweetest and nicest pair, we love our people now and no we don't have to be adopted together:) I am a happy happy guy, love to play and run and hang out and PLAY. I am a young and healthy guy, will make someone a great buddy- fun for life!! If you want a loving buddy and a happy life... ADOPT ME!!! SO MANY LIVES DEPEND ON ADOPTION!! Rocky is a handsome 3-year old male Plott Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on March 6, 2023 after he was found on State Route 339 in the Vincent Ohio area. He was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped. Rocky has a dark brown/brindle short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful Hound face with dark brown eyes, black shading on his chubby muzzle, and large floppy ears. Rocky was understandably a bit bewildered for the first week or so that he was in our shelter, but he soon realized that he was actually in a good place with many kind people who treated him like royalty (smile). These photos were taken on March 21, 2024 while Rocky was relaxing on a comfy Kuranda bed and enjoying a quiet afternoon nap. We look forward to taking outdoor pictures when the sun makes an appearance in the mid-Ohio Valley. Rocky weighs 48 lbs. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Rocky was held for three days so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Much to our surprise, nobody called or came looking for Rocky. Since he was not reclaimed, Rocky will be neutered in the near future and will soon be ready to find a home of his very own. He could be fostered with an approved HSOV Adoption/Foster Application.

Hayley and Hannah discovered that Rocky was not just another pretty face (although he is a gorgeous guy) .. He is also a highly intelligent boy who quickly mastered the 'shake paws' and 'sit pretty' commands when offered a few 'good boy' treats. Rocky weighs 48 lbs and is walking well on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Rocky was held for three days so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
