You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Help us welcome Elton to the DASH Prison Training program. He is a young Plott Hound mix who has a beautiful brindle coat. He is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs and humans. However, he does not like to share his food or toys. He has not been tested with children or cats so a proper introduction is in order. He lives to play and has a lot of energy to burn. Elton is a social lad and does well in crowds.  However, due to his hyperactivity and excitement, he does tend to jump on people. Of course the training program is working on this with Elton. He is a vocal dog. Elton is the most affectionate dog you will ever meet and is eagerly waiting for his forever home.  He is a vocal dog so an apartment or condo would not be an ideal home for him.  He also likes to bark at passing cars as if he wants to go for a ride. He will require a good, tall fence as he is a climber.   Please don't let his outgoing personality keep you from making this guy your own.  If you are a runner or need an active dog in your life, this is your boy!  We know the perfect home awaits Elton.   If you would like to meet or adopt this fella, please complete an application at: https://dashrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2025, 9:03 pm

Story
Woodrow is a 2-3 yr old Plott Hound.  He is active, playful and seems to react just fine to other dogs. He keeps his kennel area clean for the most part....only having an accident, on occasion, when we are not here to let him out. He is just over 70 lbs.  Prior to adoption he will be neutered, be vaccinated, heartworm tested and microchipped. He is social and welcomes attention from anyone that is welcome to give it to him.   Please stop in during our regular hours if you would like to meet him.   Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Story
Jack just turned 1 year old. He is very sweet, loving, energetic and loves to play with his squeaky ball. He is very curious and also very smart/quick learner. He has very few potty accidents inside. And will sit at the door and bark once to let us know He is ready to go out. He loves to be outside. He could really benefit from having a yard of his own to play in. Unfortunately our place is a small 1 bedroom and He needs more space. He likes to chew so we stay stalked up on toys and bones for his amusement. He learned fast what he is not allowed to chew on so dont let that habbit scare you. Jack will sometimes get the zoomies and run around like crazy, we found it adorable but our place is so tiny and there's no fenced in area we can currently walk to so he can get out his energy ourside. He is up to date on all vaccines. We reached out to family and friends but no one could take him. Reach out for more details. Text me at 6023266232
