Story
Paxton is a 5 year old male, he will be 6 years old April 10 2026. He loves to play, he loves attention. Needs to be in, kid/baby free home. He’s never been around cats, used to have another dog who passed away a few years ago got along good, so he might do okay with other dogs, but might be best only dog and only pet in home. He loves his dog treats and toys, loves tennis balls. He’s a good dog. I have a 2 year old daughter who he does get jealous of the attention she gets, also we are moving this spring and the apartment does not allow dogs. Hoping someone who is willing to spend time with him, let him sleep inside on the couch or floor. He needs a little bit of training, and would need a harness until he gets used to leash walking. If you have a fenced in backyard that would be best. Hoping Paxton can find his forever home, sad to have to rehome him, but apartment won’t allow dogs. Thank you!!!

Story
We adopted Duke as a puppy. He is a brindle southern hound mix. He has integrated well into our family, which includes my wife and I, our 2 boys (age 10 and 12), and another dog. He is intelligent, affectionate, playful, generally well-behaved, house- broken, and well loved and cared-for. He has however always been reactive to and aggressive toward guests and strangers. We recently moved to a new home. Our new home does not have a fenced yard, and is in town. We are concerned that there could be an incident that would end badly for all involved. I think Duke would do well in a home with a family that is looking for a loving, loyal companion who is instinctually protective.
