Story
Hi I’m Floyd! Now that we met, can you love me? Like right now, pretty please?!? I really want to find my forever home and be there and loved for the rest of eternity! I promise to show you lots of appreciation and love in return if you share your heart and maybe your bed with me, and promise to pet me often!  My foster family says that I am the most appreciative and loyal of all the fosters they have ever had. I’m just so happy to be in a warm, safe, and soft place after almost a year at shelters and in boarding!    A little bit more about me…I’m about 3 and a half years old and am a Plott Hound. This means I love to smell all the smells and really enjoy being outside. I would love a fenced in yard to explore, but it isn’t necessary as I’m pretty laid back and willing to chill with you on the couch if you’d prefer - again if you’re petting me, I’m there! I enjoy when people visit the house and do great with company. I’m a people pleaser! I also do well home alone when you need to leave for work or events without me and am fully house broken.    My fosters say I’m smart - I’ve learned to sit, stay and give a paw in a short amount of time! I love these treats they give me and am happy to do as you wish for one!    My foster mom says I have a history of being dog selective. I’m not sure what that means really, but she thinks I would do best in a home with no other male dogs. While I love the kiddos at my foster house, I need a house with no young kids (under 10). I do fine when they come visit from time to time but they could overwhelm me if it was every day.    I would be a great house protector for a single person or a third wheel to a couple. I could be active or relax the day away depending upon what my family wants to do! As long as you’re going to love me forever and pet me often, please submit an application!  ##2243697##

Story
This sweet boy is Hudson. He is a 7 month old Plott Hound mix. He loves cuddling, going for walks, and stuffed animals. He is a snuggle bug but still has all the puppy energy. A home with a fenced in yard for zoomies would be the best fit for this happy guy. He is crate trained, housebroken, and cat/dog friendly. If you’d like to make him part of your family, send a completed application to meganm.bthar@gmail.com. BTHAR Washington, PA KL#16643

Story
Gypsy came in as a stray from a woman who said she spotted her along the road while driving. Freshly named, she is 60 lbs and a gorgeous reddish brown brindle, with amazingly white teeth, giving way to a guess that she is no more than 2 years old. She is a strong but a decent walker, but not happy to be confined in her kennel, where she cries. However, once in the trailer, she is a different dog; calm, likes to play fetch, and well-behaved. Her underside speaks to her having puppies in the past. Her kennel is clean each morning which indicates a housebroken dog. Gypsey would rather be with people than in her kennel, but seems to be fine around some of the dogs.

Story
Meet handsome Lamar....this 2.5 year old plott hound/lab mix is 72 pounds of sweetness! He was picked up as a stray in St Thomas in February 2022 and spent months in the shelter where he shut down, not wanting to eat, walk or play. Neil, a volunteer at the shelter, fostered him and loved him until Neil left the island to work stateside. Instead of placing Lamar back in the shelter, the Pets With Wings Program brought him to Pet Search! Lamar loves other dogs and will thrive with a fur-sibling or two! and once he becomes comfortable, he will join and play, almost to the point of exhaustion! Lamar is very skittish when first meeting people and will bark out of anxiety, and will back away. After several weeks in foster care, he is warming up to his foster parents. Lamar needs time to adjust to new surroundings and will have accidents while feeling comfortable. He loves to sleep in bed or on a sofa, but is crate trained also. Lamar has shown no reactiveness to cats and would be a great playmate for older children due to his size and weight. Applications can he found at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog KL#03301 Washington PA 15301

Story
Here's what my friends at the shelter had to say about me! “Diego is such a good puppy. He is so attentive and truly wants to please you. He has the cutest little hop when he walks with you, it’s impossible not to smile. He sits so nicely, especially if you have a treat. We tested him with a very scared puppy and Diego completely understood that the other dog needed space. He left him alone and even sat nearby like he was trying to help. He’s not a wild, out of control puppy at all. He has energy, but he reads the room and adjusts so well. Diego is one of those puppies that feels almost perfect. I love him so much and really hope he gets to leave the shelter.” Diego is gentle, smart, and emotionally aware beyond his age. He deserves a future where he can keep learning, growing, and being the good boy he already is.
