Meet Daisy! 🌼🐾 Daisy is the kind of girl who will steal your heart without even trying. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and just plain fun to have around! Daisy came to us with her puppies and was the most devoted mama, but now that her babies are grown, it’s finally Daisy’s turn to be spoiled! This girl has discovered that toys are pretty awesome—especially stuffies! Daisy loves to grab her favorite stuffy, toss it up in the air, chase it down, and entertain herself with it. Watching her play is guaranteed to make you smile! Daisy is great with other dogs and kids and walks nicely on a leash. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but give her a little time (and maybe a few treats), and her sweet personality shines through. She’s gentle, playful, affectionate, and ready to enjoy life as someone's beloved companion instead of always being the mama. Daisy has given so much love to everyone around her. Now she’s ready for a family who will give all that love back! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Men are from Mars :0 Remember that theory? Men from Mars and women from Venus?? So I AM MARS!! lol and I am a male!! SO MISUNDERSTOOD!! (all women rolling their eyes :) I am a big puppy... At the rescue again after being adopted in 2020!! :( I was returned by my "family" for something the rescue did before i left as a puppy- socialize me... SO, this is the thing... when you adopt a puppy especially, take the time to SOCIALIZE them all different situations and all different people and other animals.... it is your responsibility. WE committed to Mars so if his "family" gave up on him, we would not! He is back with the rescue and looking for his FOREVER HOME! Do NOT apply to adopt him if you are not committed to him, cause he deserves better!! He is a sweet and loving guy, active and BIG so must be a good leader and must keep him happy and exercised and loved!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a fun loving companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog disease." and we have JUST the cure for you!!! I am a DOC :) Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living.... here is what one of my admirers has to say about me ;) "Doc is a super playful dude and is soo happy to meet everyone he sees and just is an overall bouncing bundle of joy. He loves walks, pets and scratches, and loves to do sprints with you. When you're walking he will walk slightly ahead of you and is super excited to meet everyone. He'll try to pull but once he realizes you are not coming too fast he will do this cute little hop thing where he bounces between his front paws and his back paws, its adorable" That is quite an admirer, right??? If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment!! Waylon is an absolute DREAM of a dog, really just the perfect boy! He does great with kids, does amazing in a home, is housebroken, crate trained, does great in a car, LOVES to be active and play and go on both runs and walks with his fosters, is super smart so easy to train, loves to snuggle and will calmly hang out with you while you work or watch TV, and is just the best boy! He seems really eager to be around other dogs so we don't see why he couldn't have dog buddies to play with! He is 100% joy and will be excited to see you every time you come home...and his fosters are working on trying to temper that pure joy that causes him to jump in happiness, but it always comes from a place of love and light! The struggles that Waylon has are purely medical but we have come to a plateau where with a great regimen of his medications, his diagnosis of Perennial Fistula Disease is easy to manage. And the nice thing is he takes his medications great! He does have to have an ointment on his rear, and does take some other oral meds, but he takes them very well. His condition also does require him to be on a very regimented diet that cannot be strayed from but Bonaparte's Retreat is more than happy to continue paying for his meds and his food because we definitely don't want that to be a deterrent for this perfect boy to find a home. He does require someone who can monitor his poops because they do need to be monitored, but he poops great on a walk which makes it easy to monitor! He also does need to be with a family that can strictly monitor his diet and not allow him to counter surf but he eats his special food great! We really can't speak more highly about Waylon and he would make some active family or single person an amazing BFFAugust 27, 2024, 11:44 am

Story
Natalie was one of 4 Plott Hounds that were saved as young puppies from a high-kill shelter by another rescue, and recently they officially became HERO Hound gals! At approximately 8 months old and around 40 pounds each, these girls are still very much puppies who are learning what it means to be loved, safe, and part of a family. The sisters have spent much of their lives being fostered together in an outdoor kennel environment, but they have been around dogs of all shapes and sizes and have done very well. When they’re out of the kennel, they are surprisingly calm, sweet-natured girls who clearly want affection and are ready to discover the good life. Of the four, Nora and Nicole are currently the braver, more outgoing sisters, while Naomi and Natalie are a little more reserved and need some extra time to feel comfortable. But underneath those different personalities are four loving girls who want to trust, learn, and please their people. Their foster has been bringing them inside individually to help each girl experience home life without the pressure or security of having her sisters right beside her. They are making progress, but their future families should be prepared to patiently teach them all the basics — including house training, leash walking, household routines, and what it means to simply be a family dog. There are cats on the property, and while the girls have barked at them, they haven’t had enough close interaction for us to confidently say how they would do living with cats just yet. Considering these girls were once dumped as puppies and left to fend for themselves, their gentle and loving personalities are pretty incredible. They haven’t had the easiest beginning, but they are ready for their next chapter — one filled with soft beds, adventures, belly rubs, treats, and families of their very own.
