Story
Waylon is an absolute DREAM of a dog, really just the perfect boy! He does great with kids, does amazing in a home, is housebroken, crate trained, does great in a car, LOVES to be active and play and go on both runs and walks with his fosters, is super smart so easy to train, loves to snuggle and will calmly hang out with you while you work or watch TV, and is just the best boy! He seems really eager to be around other dogs so we don't see why he couldn't have dog buddies to play with! He is 100% joy and will be excited to see you every time you come home...and his fosters are working on trying to temper that pure joy that causes him to jump in happiness, but it always comes from a place of love and light! The struggles that Waylon has are purely medical but we have come to a plateau where with a great regimen of his medications, his diagnosis of Perennial Fistula Disease is easy to manage. And the nice thing is he takes his medications great! He does have to have an ointment on his rear, and does take some other oral meds, but he takes them very well. His condition also does require him to be on a very regimented diet that cannot be strayed from but Bonaparte's Retreat is more than happy to continue paying for his meds and his food because we definitely don't want that to be a deterrent for this perfect boy to find a home. He does require someone who can monitor his poops because they do need to be monitored, but he poops great on a walk which makes it easy to monitor! He also does need to be with a family that can strictly monitor his diet and not allow him to counter surf but he eats his special food great! We really can't speak more highly about Waylon and he would make some active family or single person an amazing BFFAugust 27, 2024, 11:44 am

Daisy came to us with her puppies and proved to be the gentlest, most devoted mama. She raised her babies with so much love, and now it’s finally her turn to find a forever home of her own. This sweet girl can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly—especially if you have treats to share! Daisy is great with other dogs, crate trained, and has the softest, most loving spirit. Are you ready to give this wonderful mama the happy ending she deserves? Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Men are from Mars :0 Remember that theory? Men from Mars and women from Venus?? So I AM MARS!! lol and I am a male!! SO MISUNDERSTOOD!! (all women rolling their eyes :) I am a big puppy... At the rescue again after being adopted in 2020!! :( I was returned by my "family" for something the rescue did before i left as a puppy- socialize me... SO, this is the thing... when you adopt a puppy especially, take the time to SOCIALIZE them all different situations and all different people and other animals.... it is your responsibility. WE committed to Mars so if his "family" gave up on him, we would not! He is back with the rescue and looking for his FOREVER HOME! Do NOT apply to adopt him if you are not committed to him, cause he deserves better!! He is a sweet and loving guy, active and BIG so must be a good leader and must keep him happy and exercised and loved!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a fun loving companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog disease." and we have JUST the cure for you!!! I am a DOC :) Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living.... here is what one of my admirers has to say about me ;) "Doc is a super playful dude and is soo happy to meet everyone he sees and just is an overall bouncing bundle of joy. He loves walks, pets and scratches, and loves to do sprints with you. When you're walking he will walk slightly ahead of you and is super excited to meet everyone. He'll try to pull but once he realizes you are not coming too fast he will do this cute little hop thing where he bounces between his front paws and his back paws, its adorable" That is quite an admirer, right??? If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Norton! 🐾Norton is a sweet, handsome boy around 1–2 years old who loves people and does well with other dogs. He’s a happy guy who enjoys attention, affection, and being close to his humans.Right now, Norton is very food and treat motivated. In his current environment, he gets very excited about treats and often just wants to come back inside for another snack. Because of this, he does need structure around feeding and treats when around other dogs. Norton has shown some food guarding behaviors toward other dogs, but not toward people. He has played some with other dogs, but we truly believe he may show a different side of himself once he’s in a stable home environment instead of boarding. Shelter and kennel environments can be stressful and don’t always allow a dog’s true personality to shine.Norton would thrive with someone willing to give him consistency, guidance, and patience as he settles in. He is affectionate, smart, and eager to please and with the right home, we think he’s going to blossom into an amazing companion. ❤️

Story
Meet Echo! This little old lady still has plenty of life in her. Echo is a sweet Plott Hound mix with an estimated birthday of 12/01/2016, weighing in around 44lbs. Although Echo is sliding into her senior years, don't let her silver snout fool you. Echo is still a puppy at heart and is looking for a family that can help her stay young! Echo is honestly the best of both worlds, she appreciated a good nap in the sunshine or a relaxing stretch across a cushy bed, but you best believe this girl will go to town playing with a stuffy or a squeaky toy! Echo is a social gal, everyone she meets is her new friend. She would be a perfect fit for a daily walk around the block! She also has a great time in the company of other dogs, she's spent a lot of time being the social queen of our doggy freeroam room! Of course, if you already have any other dogs, a meet and greet is required. Echo also loves kids, but her hound instincts kick in like nobody's business when she's around cats, so a home without is a must.  Echo is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $75.  Interested? Call 615-446-7387 ##2264262##

Story
Meet Cowboy – A Little Blonde Adventurer with a Big Heart!   Cowboy is exactly what his name suggests—a spirited little cowboy with a heart full of adventure and enough personality to keep you smiling every single day! Born on April 14, this handsome, Catahoula mix, blonde puppy is growing into an affectionate, confident, fun-loving companion who is always ready to explore whatever comes next.   His beautiful mom is a sweet, gentle Catahoula mix called Katya, with the most wonderful temperament. Cowboy has clearly inherited her loving nature. She has raised an exceptional litter, and every one of her puppies has been friendly, happy, and eager to make new friends.   At about 11 pounds, Cowboy is thriving on three good meals a day and growing like a weed! We expect him to mature into a gorgeous 45–50-pound adult with an athletic build and plenty of energy for hiking trails, backyard games, family adventures, or simply being your faithful sidekick wherever life takes you.   Cowboy is everything you hope for in a puppy. He is curious about the world, fearless without being reckless, and always ready to investigate something new. He loves to romp and play, chase toys, wrestle with his puppy friends, and then proudly come back to check in with his people. His confidence is one of our favorite things about him—he approaches new experiences with enthusiasm and a wagging tail.   He has been lovingly raised around young children and other dogs, giving him an excellent start socially. We also expect him to do well with cats, especially with proper introductions. Cowboy enjoys being held and loved on throughout the day, but when evening comes and the excitement winds down, this busy little guy transforms into an expert snuggle bug who is happiest curled up beside the people he loves.   Cowboy is currently receiving all of his puppy vaccinations and is healthy, happy, and ready to find a family that will continue helping him grow into the amazing dog we know he'll become. He would thrive in a home that enjoys an active lifestyle, where he can get plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and, of course, lots of love and cuddles.   If you've been searching for a puppy who is equal parts playful adventurer and devoted cuddle buddy, Cowboy may just be the perfect addition to your family. He's ready to spend a lifetime making memories, sharing adventures, and loving his people with his whole heart.   To learn more about Cowboy or to apply to adopt him, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   Your new best friend might just be waiting for you.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Katya! She recently gave birth to eight puppies. At just 18 months old and about 50 pounds, Katya is still very much a puppy herself. After doing an amazing job raising her babies, she’s ready to enjoy life, have fun, and be spoiled in a loving forever home. Katya loves to play! She happily chases balls, grabs toys and zooms around the yard, and spends hours playing with her terrier foster sister. She also enjoys exploring and investigating everything around her. Like many young dogs, she may occasionally stroll by with a slipper in her mouth, just to remind you she’s still a puppy at heart. She is also incredibly affectionate. Katya loves curling up next to her people on the couch for pets and snuggles, or simply lying nearby wherever her family is gathered. She wants to be part of the action and close to the people she loves. She isn’t a big barker. If someone approaches the house, she’ll let you know, but otherwise she’s generally quiet and easygoing. At night, she sleeps peacefully in her crate and goes in willingly without fuss. She has learned to use the doggie door at her foster home and has been accident-free since figuring out the routine.Katya gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing with her foster sister. She has also spent time around young children and genuinely enjoys being around people. Because of some possible hardships earlier in life, she may take a little extra time to warm up to men. However, once trust is established, she is affectionate and loving. She now happily seeks out her foster dad for scratches and pets. One of her sweetest qualities is how attentively she listens when you talk to her. She gazes into your eyes as if she understands every word. And she definitely knows how cute she is when she gently places a paw on your arm or in your lap—something she does often and always melts hearts.Katya is a gentle, loving, joyful girl who deserves a happy ending after spending so much of her young life caring for others. Now it’s her turn to be cared for, loved, and cherished. If you would like to give Katya the Cinderella story she deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
