At about 3 years old, Maggie is sweet, docile, and laid-back — the kind of dog who just wants a soft bed, kind words, and someone to love her. She’s easygoing and quiet, happy to curl up near you and soak in affection. Maggie has a large tumor that needs to be removed, but the wonderful news is that her surgery is fully sponsored! What she needs most now is a forever home where she can recover surrounded by comfort and care. This girl has so much love left to give, and she deserves the chance to heal and start her next chapter in a home, not a kennel. If you can open your heart and home to help Maggie please reach out. Meet our handsome and spunky Dayton!! This handsome 4 year old Plott Hound mix came in as a stray, we were convinced someone must have been missing him as awesome as he is but sadly no one ever came for him! Dayton may have started off as a stray, but he's now ready to find his forever home. And let us tell you, he's been working hard on his leash walking skills and is doing a paw-some job! This active boy loves to go on adventures and would make the perfect companion for someone with an active lifestyle. But don't let his busy schedule fool you, Dayton is a true best friend. He's affectionate, charming, and loves to cuddle. His curious and intelligent nature makes him a quick learner, and he's always eager to please his humans. Dayton has done well with the dogs he has met here at the shelter! Sure, Dayton may still be learning some household routines like potty training, but we all have our quirks, right? With some patience and love, he'll catch on quickly. Dayton has been neutered, microchipped and Heartworm tested. We have updated all vaccines including rabies. But with the right care, time, and, of course, treats, she’s slowly but surely opened up and discovered the joy of human companionship. Now, she’s a goofy and loving pup who’s ready to enjoy all the fun and comfort that come with being part of a family. Once comfortable, Astrid loves to show off her silly side, chasing after toys, rolling in the grass, or just enjoying some good old-fashioned playtime with her favorite humans. Astrid has done well with the dogs she’s met, and she would likely thrive in a home with another dog who can help show her the ropes and give her the confidence she needs. As with all adoptions Meet and Greets are required with any dogs Astrid will be living with! She will need time to adjust to new environments and people. Once she’s built that trust, Astrid’s true, loving self shines through, and she’ll be your loyal companion for life.
