Have you ever read a novel that has so many twist and turns that by the time you get to the last chapter, you have NO idea who won and who is the REAL good guy?? Well, I believe my life is like that. I came from somewhere, no one really knows where, and I ended up at the pound, somehow.... So i was actually adopted as a cute puppy from the pound..... and THEN 5 months later... I was saved at a busy intersection with a badly injured back leg.... no "family" around :( SO, luckily I was saved by a RESCUER!!! I mean, what are the odds?? So my name is Artie and now I am healed up and looking for my furever REAL family. I am a great sized pup, 30# of fun and love and all kinds of playtime! I love to run and play, tug of war and keep away I excel at and the zoomies too! I am great with other dogs, and kids and am ok with cats but require a good introduction and experienced dog/cat introducer with monitoring as I may chase a kittie if it runs. So, I also have learned quite a few commands, sit, stay, crate, working on leave it. I am super smart AND MOTIVATED to help find my next best chapter. I will cuddle with you when I am tired and I love to be close to you. ADOPT ME SOON!!! Grandpa is my name and LUXURY is NOW my GAME!! Don't get me wrong, I have lived the hardest and most miserable life up until now... so NOW it is about LUXURY, FOOD, FUN and a FRIEND to live the rest of my life with! I am not a young man but I have what a lot of the younger dogs do not.... LOYALTY, CALMNESS, a cold NOSE for a sweet pet on my head and MOST OF ALL, LOVE LOVE LOVE to GIVE!! I have lived on the streets but I actually SAVED MYSELF :) A couple of experienced trappers were in my neighborhood trying to catch another dog that was injured and needed help... well, I kind of kept trying to get my OWN help!! YUP, I trapped myself 5 TIMES before they finally decided to help me TOO :)Talk about SMART?? I wasn't going to let them LEAVE ME THERE. Luckily once they took me in, my injured friend was saved too- so WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER, if you ask me!! Now I am in an amazing foster home, I am loved and fed and LOOK- I AM AT THE BEACH!!! Who would ever think that a hardened and starving old dog would be living it up on the BEACH??? God did, and I am SO THANKFUL to be where I am today! I sleep in the bed, I follow my "foster mom" around EVERYWHERE :) I love love LOVE KIDS and have the patience of a saint with my foster kids :) AND I love other dogs and am tolerant of kitties! This is my life now, and I am praying you will see me and give me the home of my dreams, family and food and love and HOPE for the rest of my days! Hurry up and adopt me, I have been fully vetted, had 9 teeth removed during my dental because my teeth just weren't good after years on the streets. He was taken from an abusive situation and was in the county shelter when I adopted him. It was after we got him we found out that he's not fond of cats. He's a sweet boy. He loves cuddles and snacks. Ezekiel, aka Zeke, does not like our cats. He chases them endlessly. This is causing a great deal of stress in our home. I tried to return him to the shelter months ago, but was told he would be PTS if he was returned. I'm praying someone out there will give him a home. I don't want to walk him to his EOL.

He LOVES people, and will try to get as close to you as possible -- as soon as he figures out how his big feet and long legs work! You can almost see the math bubble in his head as he tries to coordinate everything! Baylor is gentle, snuggly and SO eager to please - it's like his singular purpose is to bring you joy!
