Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   P is for Poppy and P is for perfect! Poppy is a 4-year-old spayed female hound mix who just spent 2 weeks with a foster family. She returns to the shelter with an A+ report card! Poppy quickly adjusted to a house full of children aged 3 to 9 and wagged her tail so excitedly for them every morning that the 6-year-old says she’ll remember that “thump thump” forever. Poppy loves a good stretch before going outside and lives for belly rubs. After a short morning walk Poppy settles nicely for the day. She is content to be in the home with her humans but does not require constant activity or stimulation. She’s just happy sunbathing outside or watching you go about your day as long as you’re willing to pause for a belly rub every now and again! Poppy is housebroken, sleeps through the night (and most of the day!) loves riding in the car, does well on a harness for walks, and is school bus stop approved! She will do best with thoughtful introductions with other dogs. Poppy is adaptable, gentle, loyal, and deeply loving with those big brown eyes staring straight into your soul. She will make an incredible pet for one very lucky family!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    June 30, 2026, 7:34 am

Story
Judy has already beaten the odds once. In May 2025, Judy was brought to an animal shelter after being shot in her neighborhood. No owner ever came forward to claim her. Thanks to the care she received, Judy made a full recovery and has shown incredible resilience every step of the way. It would be heartbreaking for Judy's journey to end on June 26 after surviving what she did. Help us get her out of the shelter and save her life!! Judy has proven she is a survivor. Now she needs someone willing to give her the future she fought so hard to have. ❤️‍🩹 Medical: Heartworm Negative, Bordetella, DHPP, Rabies 📅 Deadline: June 26 (to spring her from the shelter...she is not in the rescue yet) After everything Judy has survived, she deserves a happy ending—not a deadline. Please share, foster, adopt, or even a foster to adopt. Her life depends on it.

Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. If loving people were an Olympic sport, Boone the six-month-old Redbone Coonhound mix would take home the gold every single time! This 40-pound bundle of red-coated enthusiasm is friendly, playful, and so genuinely thrilled to be near his people that he has been known to get so excited during a good petting session that he ends up underfoot on the leash walk. He means well, he just really loves you. Boone knows sit, is quiet and calm in his crate, crate trained when on a schedule and is currently working on his housetraining. He is a smart boy and with consistency he will get there. Squeaky toys are basically Boone's love language, and he is happiest when he has a good squeak toy in his mouth, a dog friend to play with, and a human nearby ready to deliver belly rubs on demand. He is good with other dogs and friendly with strangers, and would do best in a home without cats. Boone would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard where he can burn off that glorious puppy energy and then come inside for the snuggles he so deeply deserves. He is young, enthusiastic, healthy, and has an absolutely enormous amount of love to give. If you are ready for a joyful, affectionate, and squeaky-toy-obsessed hound boy to join your family, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. June 30, 2026, 9:16 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Sophia is such a beauty! She loves playtime with other dogs, but can be a cuddlebug as well once she has expended her energy. She is an active girl, and will be happiest with a fenced yard for running time—or a devoted athletic family to get her through her bursts of energy. Mountain curs are not a breed we see frequently here in Virginia; Sophia has been a “transplant” for over a year, and has made the change from her roots in New Mexico to Virginia with ease. She is familiar with kids, as her foster home has grandchildren who visit frequently, and she knows about cats. She is housetrained and knows about crates. What else can we tell you?    PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 30, 2026, 7:07 pm
