Story
Hi there, friend. Are you looking for a super sweet, super cute, mellow pup to fill your home with love and soulful baroos? Well, my name is Sunjoy and I know that I check off each one of those boxes! I am an 11 year old Plott Hound that is looking for a home with a good sunny spot to snooze in. I came to SVASC when my person could unfortunately no longer care for me, but thankfully, I quickly moved in with my pawsome foster dad, who has been taking great care of me and giving me all of the love since I arrived at his house, but he keeps telling me that there's a special someone out there for me and oh man, am I excited to meet that someone! I hope that they know how to give me the best ear rubs and that they don't mind if I stretch out on the couch! I am house-trained and am a very tidy gal! I am also superb on leash and almost never pull (unless I spot a snack on the floor; then all bets are off.) I am great with other dogs and am even good around kiddos! I have lost my hearing in my old age, but that's quite alright because it hasn't slowed me down any. My adoption fee is $175, which covers all of my vetting. If you would like more information on me, please give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, email SVASC at ewiles@co.augusta.va.us. I am currently in foster care, so please call ahead and ask about Sunjoy!

Story
Hey, friends! I'm Polaroid, a handsome 7-year-old Plott Hound on the lookout for my new forever home. Life's been a bit of an adventure lately, but I'm ready to bring some warmth and joy to your world. I'm a neutered guy who adores meeting new people - my enthusiasm knows no bounds! If you've got a hand free for pets and ear scratches, count me in; I'm a certified expert in soaking up all the love. I'm a fan of outdoor escapades, whether it's a leisurely walk or a good old romp in the yard. My nose is always on the job, and I love putting it to good use - you never know what interesting scents are waiting to be discovered! I get along famously with other dogs, and kids are like instant best friends to me. Sadly, my previous owner lost their home, but I'm here, ready to share my sweet and affectionate nature with someone special. Let's create happy memories together! My adoption fee is $175, which covers all of my vetting. If you would like more information on me, please give SVASC a call at (540) 943-5142, email SVASC at ewiles@co.augusta.va.us. I am currently in foster care, so please call ahead and ask about Polaroid!

Story
Courtesy Post - Bo; not located at SVASC Here's what his owner has to say about him: "Bo is a 1yr old, intact male, Plott hound. He is great with other dogs, kids, and cats, also. He has shown no signs of food aggression etc. Bo has mainly been a inside pet. He has the nose for sure, but does not like the rain, dark, or the cold too much, so he would probably not the best hunting dog. He's is a great natured dog all around."

KAI IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    Meet Kai, or as he’s lovingly called Kaigaroo because he acts like he’s pure bred kangaroo and will hop around the yard as if he was one. He’s a sweetheart who loves cuddles and loves to follow you everywhere trying to be a little helper. He’s been working on his training and knows quite a few commands as well as being kennel trained. He’s a very good boy and has a big heart just waiting to hop into yours. He is good with kids and other dogs. He loves wrestling/ playing in the yard with his foster fur siblings. He is a year old Plott Hound Mix and 40lbs.  Kai is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $550 and that includes his transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Kai up north to his new family.    If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Kai here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
COURTESY LISTINGLooking for a furry friend who embodies the spirit of adventure? Meet Melody, the adorable and spirited Transylvanian Hound (or maybe a Black and Tan Coonhound) looking for her forever home! At 3 years old and 60 lbs, Melody is bursting with energy, intelligence, and love. She's searching for a family who understands hound traits and can provide her with the active and engaging lifestyle she craves. Melody is a clever girl who loves playing games, especially searching for hidden toys. She already knows the command "sit" and will impress you with her obedience. When it's time to unwind, she's happy to relax with her plush toy trying to find the squeaker and keeping herself entertained. Melody is a great companion for outdoor adventures and long walks. She adores being outside and will accompany you on every exploration. While she enjoys her high-energy activities, she can also settle down and cuddle up, ready for some quality time on the couch. Melody has great house manners and is house trained and crate trained. She sleeps soundly in her crate, making bedtime a breeze. Car rides are a joy for her, and she'll eagerly join you. Melody is not a fan of cats due to her prey drive and would probably do best as the only pet in her home. She loves children and is friendly with strangers, showing her affectionate nature to everyone she meets. Like most hounds, Melody is strong on the leash. She requires an owner who can handle her strength and provide the guidance she needs. She's ready to bring her zest for life and infectious happiness into your home. Don't miss out on the opportunity to share your adventures with this special hound dog, Miss Melody! Apply to adopt today. This dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for Melody. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. April 23, 2024, 11:19 am
