Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to JoJo! He is a 14-week-old, 16lb Plott Hound/Mountain Cur mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA along with his father, Timon. JoJo is a very sweet puppy, who is still coming out of his shell and is very shy. He would thrive in a patient household that is committed to helping him build his confidence. He is playful with other dogs, but still learning how to be social. He would love to be in a home with another dog to help him with his confidence and show him the ropes as he grows up, or a home that has other dogs in their friend/family circle for him to socialize with. Since he is still a puppy, he will need a forever home that has an area to frequently take him out for potty breaks and will be committed to obedience training and everything that a puppy needs. He’s going to make such a loving and loyal companion for a lucky adopter. Jojo is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing Timon! He is a 1-year-old, 38lb Plott Hound/Mountain Cur mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA with his son, JoJo. Timon is a very sweet dog who is still gaining his confidence. He can be very shy at first but once he trusts you, he’s down to go on any adventure. He walks very well on leash and would love a home that takes him on daily walks to help build his confidence in the world. He does well with other dogs and would make a great additional dog to a home or be okay as an only dog. He very much loves his people time and to cuddle. Timon would do best in a quieter household as he is still opening up and will make a sweet and charming addition to anyone’s home! Timon is UTD vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Penny is our sweet 7 year-old Plott Hound / Portuguese Water Dog with a lot of love to give who we adopted in 2020 from a rescue in Texas! We are a young family with scheduling and travel changes that leaves us looking for the perfect fit for our Penny ensuring that she continues to have a happy to healthy life while starting a next chapter with an individual or family who can meet her where she is with her needs. Penny is a fantastic and tolerant dog around children who treat her with respect, is loyal, and protective chasing birds, rabbits, and cats away from her space. As she is a hunting dog, she has a high prey drive. As loving as Penny is to humans, she does not like other dogs. She is not a dog to take to the dog park, a walk around Green Lake, or other areas where she can feel threatened by dogs coming up to her, etc. She would do best in a home that has a wide area or yard for her to roam in, explore, and with someone who can take her on a daily 30-minute walk.

Story
Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Tilly, she's a bit quirky at first but let me tell you about how amazing she is if you give her a little time to get to know you. She's a cuddle bug and loves to sleep right next to you at night. When you come home, Tilly is so excited her wiggle butt makes her whole body shake side to side. She's crate trained, housebroken, plays well with other dogs, and great on walks. She knows sit, down, stay and her release word. Loves to carry a stuffed animal around with her, she will need a few as some will not last very long. Tilly loves to chew on empty water bottles she steals from her foster sister. She signals at the back door to let you know she needs to potty and will sunbathe outside when you let her. The quirky, she needs time to get to know you. She is nervous around new people. Will need a slow intro to her new family with older kids. Tilly doesn't like fast movements when she is anxious until she finally warms up to you. Tilly is a local adoption only. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
