Story
Meet Tilly, she's a bit quirky at first but let me tell you about how amazing she is if you give her a little time to get to know you. She's a cuddle bug and loves to sleep right next to you at night. When you come home, Tilly is so excited her wiggle butt makes her whole body shake side to side. She's crate trained, housebroken, plays well with other dogs, and great on walks. She knows sit, down, stay and her release word. Loves to carry a stuffed animal around with her, she will need a few as some will not last very long. Tilly loves to chew on empty water bottles she steals from her foster sister. She signals at the back door to let you know she needs to potty and will sunbathe outside when you let her. The quirky, she needs time to get to know you. She is nervous around new people. Will need a slow intro to her new family with older kids. Tilly doesn't like fast movements when she is anxious until she finally warms up to you. Tilly is a local adoption only. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
I'm gonna make you an wo-offer you can't refuse. That's what Pacino told his foster parents when he was found and brought to San Antonio, TX for a better life! For his well-behaved demeanor, cute puppy face, playfulness, and getting along with other dogs he'd be given a roof, a nice cold dish of water, meals and treats everyday, plus tons of love. It was a good deal! Pacino comes from a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world who's business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you. Pacino is potty and crate trainee; and a sociable happy dog! He does like to chew on things and should be kept away from shoes, tables and what not. Pacino would pair better with older kids. Some basic information about Pacino; he is 2-year(s) old, male, a Plott Hound mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Let it go, let it gooooooo ...Can't hold it back anymore ... Yes, my name is Elsa, just like that Elsa! I came into this world in February, right in the middle of a chilly San Antonio winter when the temps were plummeting, and life was tough for many. But fate smiled upon me, and a kind-hearted man and his family came to my rescue, sparing me from the freezing cold. I'll be honest; I'm a sensitive soul. Loud voices and sudden noises tend to rattle me, but let me tell you, once I've warmed up to you, I'm a different dog entirely. I'll shower you with kisses and share my whole heart. You see, I'm not just pretty on the outside; I'm smart and gentle, too. What I need most is a patient family willing to give me the time and space to settle into my new home. Trust me; I have so much love to give. In my foster home, they've discovered a side of me that shines when I play with their Big Great Pyrenees. We're like a couple of kids, playing hide and seek, and chasing each other around. I'm also a sunbather at heart, so outdoor lounging in the sun is a favorite pastime of mine. Now, here's the thing: I'm not a fan of long car rides, and I can get a little nervous. But if you speak to me gently and reassure me, I'll find my courage. Leash walks can be a bit tricky too, but with your patience and encouragement, I'm willing to give it a try. In the evenings, I like to cozy up in bed with my humans, though I don't demand it. I just love to be near the ones who care for me. I'm on the lookout for a forever home, a place where I'll be cherished and appreciated just as much as I have been in my foster family. If you're seeking a loyal companion who's ready to bloom with your love, look no further - I'm right here. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

I still like to sleep after I play.I like to spend time outside, but it is nice to come into the house too. I know that I must do my business outside but sometimes I still forget. Hi, I am Hilary,Thank you for checking out my profile, I hope you like what you see. I am a young girl who still has lots to learn. I was rescued during the hurricane so there are things that still frighten me. But I am eager to learn and build confidence.I love to play with small dogs, but I do like to keep my own toys. Balls are my favorite and teething rings; you know like to ones you can have for babies? I will even return them to you if you throw them for me. I am a smart girl, I learned how to use the doggie door to go outside for potty all by myself!Like I said I still have many things to learn but I am working on some basic commands like sit and stay. I know how to give a paw and my foster mom says that is so cute. I am learning how to walk on a leash but sometimes I still pull if I see something interesting. Right now, I spend a lot of time outside but I really would like to have a house to be in all the time. I am a pretty active girl so if you like to take long walks or hikes I would love that too.If you like what you hear and think I would be a good fit for your family, then just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give.Hilary To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Introducing Hondo, the loyal and brave companion you've been waiting for! Hondo is a true good boy, showcasing his friendly nature with both people and fellow furry friends. He strikes the perfect balance between confident and respectful, making him a wonderful addition to any household dynamic. While Hondo may be a bit head shy when it comes to leashes, it's a trait rooted in his past experiences - his ears once caused him discomfort. But with patience and understanding, he's slowly overcoming this challenge. This resilience highlights his adaptable nature and willingness to grow. Crate training is a breeze for Hondo, reflecting his cooperative spirit. He's well-versed in the art of sitting and enjoys eating a peaceful meal. These traits make him a joy to train and a promising companion for both new and experienced pet owners. Hondo's ideal home is one that's lively and active, as he thrives in an environment where he can stretch his legs and engage in the joyful act of running. With a strong recall foundation already in place, he's open to further fine-tuning this skill. This warrior-dog's name is music to his ears, and he responds to it with enthusiasm. Though his recall could use a bit more polish, his eagerness to learn shines through. Hondo's adaptable and resourceful nature, coupled with his receptive attitude, make him a loyal partner for all your adventures.
