Story
Landry is a handsome 4 month old hound male puppy. He weighs about 30 pounds. He has a beautiful brindle coat. Landry is a sweet puppy who cannot wait to have a home of his very own in WI. He gets along well with people of all ages and likes other dogs. He has started his potty training skills in Texas, however he is just a young puppy living in a shelter, therefore his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. Meet Vaughn - an introverted extrovert in canine form...  this handsome boy is sweet and playful with the reserved disposition that middle age brings.  A pup that LOVES  his walks, but only half as much as he loves his naps.   In the home, Vaughn is a complete gentleman - housebroken, crate trained, and knows all of his basic commands. A little shadow that will happily watch over his family.   A tad shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly.  When excited, however, he tends to be a little mouthier than most in his play style.  Because of this, we recommend a home with older children or a home with no children at all.   Vaughn likes dogs, but can be selective.  He has no problem sharing his food with his humans, but can guard his food bowl and treats from other dogs.  Because of this, we think he would be best as an only dog or with a family that can manage feeding him separately.  As for cats...  the Plott Hound in him would love to chase them all up a tree.   If you think our little wallflower sounds like the dog for you, please contact his trainer (Kseniya) today at 847.338.3252 or info@redemptionroadinc.org  to schedule your private meet and greet. I came into this world in February, right in the middle of a chilly San Antonio winter when the temps were plummeting, and life was tough for many. But fate smiled upon me, and a kind-hearted man and his family came to my rescue, sparing me from the freezing cold. I'll be honest; I'm a sensitive soul. Loud voices and sudden noises tend to rattle me, but let me tell you, once I've warmed up to you, I'm a different dog entirely. I'll shower you with kisses and share my whole heart. You see, I'm not just pretty on the outside; I'm smart and gentle, too. What I need most is a patient family willing to give me the time and space to settle into my new home. Trust me; I have so much love to give. In my foster home, they've discovered a side of me that shines when I play with their Big Great Pyrenees. We're like a couple of kids, playing hide and seek, and chasing each other around. I'm also a sunbather at heart, so outdoor lounging in the sun is a favorite pastime of mine. Now, here's the thing: I'm not a fan of long car rides, and I can get a little nervous. But if you speak to me gently and reassure me, I'll find my courage. Leash walks can be a bit tricky too, but with your patience and encouragement, I'm willing to give it a try. In the evenings, I like to cozy up in bed with my humans, though I don't demand it.
