Kevin may only be two years old, but he’s mastered the fine art of being a very good boy. This 35-ish pound Podengo mix has it all: the zoomies, the charm, and the kind of manners that make strangers ask, “Wait… I could adopt THIS dog?!” ✨ A (non exhaustive list of) Why Kevin is Amazing: • Polite Everywhere: Kevin was the recent hotdog star of the Petsmart Halloween Parade! From busy dog events to quiet neighborhood strolls, Kevin keeps it classy. • Dog Socialite: He LOVES other dogs of all sizes and has been a total gentleman with every pup he’s met. • People Person: He’s been amazing with every human too (kids are still newer to him, and his energy at playtime means potential for rough and tumble). • Crate + House-trained: That’s right, he’s got the basics down pat. 🚶 Leash Life: On walks, Kevin isn’t in a rush. He’s all about the sniffari lifestyle, taking time to enjoy every smell like it’s a fine wine. He’s gotten so much better on leash—he’ll trot along happily by your side, pausing only to say, “Hang on, that bush smells fascinating.” ⚡ Play Hard, Nap Hard: Give him a fenced yard and he’ll zoom like an Olympic sprinter. Take him for a hike or a jog and he’ll keep up like a pro. But when it’s time to chill? Put on some classical music and Kevin will transform into a napping gentleman of the highest order. 🧠Head and heart: Kevin is smart! He has a very good memory for when he last saw things. Once he went outside and found some bread his foster parents threw into the yard for the birds, now he has to investigate that spot every night in case he gets lucky again! 🌭 Additionally, Kevin is an absolute 😇 at the vet and doesn’t give anybody any trouble. Plus he loves getting a nice bath and getting his nails trimmed. 🐾 The Fine Print: Kevin’s prey drive means he may chase cats - but he is not aggressive! With an active adult household, a family of elementary kids, or teens he’ll fit right in. We caution that toddlers might get knocked over because of his energetic play style. 💖 Bottom Line: Kevin is friendly, sweet, funny, and ready for his forever home. Meet Fortune Cookie! Fortune Cookie is ready to tell your future, and it just might include her by your side. Though she is very sweet and gentle, she is rather shy with new people. The good news is that there’s an easy way to break down Cookie’s walls and earn her trust - treats, and lots of them. Give her a little time and a tasty snack and she’ll be your little shadow and best friend. Since she did come from a home with limited exposure to the outside world, Fortune Cookie is not house trained and has no experience being on leash. She would do best in a home that either has a secure yard or is comfortable using pee pads until a time where she is comfortable going for walks. Meet Honeycomb and Bingo! These two pups came in with a number of their friends and littermates, but they seem to share a very special bond with each other. Honeycomb is still just a puppy at only three months while Bingo is estimated to be a year old. They match each other's energy and love to play silly games and rough house together. Since they haven't experienced any of the world before coming to us, they are very fearful and timid around new people and situations. Luckily, these two are absolutely obsessed with food and are ready to bond with you over a tasty snack and a shared meal. They are looking for adopters who are ready to go slow, take things at their pace, and know that it will be weeks or months before they fully love and trust their new families. They have no experience walking on leash and need training to get them comfortable and used to the sensation without panicking. Neither Honeycomb or Bingo are house trained, so they would do best in a home with either a secure yard or where they can use pee pads in the house while they get used to walking on leash. Honeycomb and Bingo are in our special adoption program which sets adopters up for success with pre and post adoption counseling. Introducing Cassia! 🐶😍 This 7-month-old Chihuahua/Husky mix is basically a walking ray of sunshine. With ears that look like they could pick up satellite signals and a smile that never quits, she’s equal parts silly and sweet. Cassia has plenty of pep in her step and would love a home that can keep up with her goofy zoomies, toy-tossing sessions, and “look at me” moments that will have you in stitches. She’s got a whole lot of personality packed into her little frame, and she’s not afraid to show it off! She’s wonderfully social—great with kids, cats, and other dogs—and would especially benefit from a canine companion to help her run off some of that puppy energy (and join in her hilarious zoomie routines). After playtime, though, she’s all about the cuddles. She’s crate trained, housebroken, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Cassia isn’t just looking for a home—she’s looking for a family (and maybe a furry sibling!) to laugh with, cuddle with, and love forever. 🐾❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up.
