Story
As a youngster I was seen running scared along the riverbed and easements along busy roads and the golf course.  I would run as soon as humans were in sight.  Once humanely trapped it was discovered I was a baby (maybe 6months).  I had clearly not had a lot of positive human experience and shut down after caught.  It took me weeks to interact and eventually I started to participate in life.  They laugh and call me Tigger.  I stalk and pounce.  When there is a toy I crouch then jump.  When it's time to go out, I do the doggie down and leap to be leashed.  I am still learning my size and boundaries.  I play well with my housemate but am unpredictably triggered by various dogs because I'm insecure so would do best in an only dog home and with handlers that understand that behavior.  I love my toys, self entertiain and always try to take one on my walks.  I am learning to embrace the world outside my home and trying to enjoy the outings to the market and mall.  If moving I do well but still struggle with sitting in chaos so please be patient.  I have a lot of typical dane goofy behavior and promise to make you laugh and smile.  I've spent a long time working foward the better me and am ready for the next step with someone forever beside me. More informationGood with cats: No Good with kids: 10+ (due to size and not overly confident)Personality:- Nervous with new situations but has come a long way.- He's very self entertained with all toys- Loves to sleep on any and all beds, including yours :)Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  NO offleash activities in unfenced areas for life.To adopt: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/37765/genericTo foster: https://petstablished.com/foster_form/37764/genericEmail: awayhomefordogs@gmail.com ##1342588##

Story
My name is Fury because of the distance and way I covered ground as a stray.  I was very young (less than a year old) and very scared.  I would spend a few days or weeks in one location and move far away.  They say it would not be credible if there were not photos to prove it!  After a long distance and time I was creatively secured and safe.  No one came looking or claimed me from the shelter so my captor saved me again.  It took some time, but I learned to trust, embraced love and now find friends in people and fur.  At events I am quick to roll over for rubs, will look at you with my gooey eyes and ask for more when you stop.  I enjoy outings on leash and in public.  I LOVE my people and can't wait to greet them or have one on one wth them.  I do struggle when left alone  so need to be supervised, with someone at all times or safely contained (my escapee skills are almost as impressive as my destruction).  I am all about being honest but have a huge heart and love to give.    They didn't think I'd make it this far but three years later here I am....... Out and about, confident with people and LOVING life, limited as it is in a rescue.  Please give me a chance and I won't let you down. Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  NO offleash activities in unfenced areas for life. Story
Gorgeous Jericho's Promise Scrappy Doo is available for adoption in Southern California! Also open to transporting to Nor Cal, or other states. Adopter would be responsible for transport fee. This boy is just about perfect! He is good in the house, and settles down nicely. He loves to love on his people and will lay beside you on the couch or bed. He isn't really a chewer, or destructive in any way. Potty trained and crate trained. The excellent is that he does mark his territory, so a belly band would be necessary for a few days. He is almost 2 years old. I'm not sure what his mix is. He could have dalmation, and maybe some sort of hound, or he could he could have neither of these in his mix. He's a true Heinz 57! He was rescued, along with his brother and sister, by Jericho's Promise Animal Rescue from the Tijuana streets a year and a half ago. After my friend got them off the street and to the vet for us, they all popped positive for distemper. It was a long recovery, but they all lived. Scrappy survived with no tics, so he is in absolutely perfect health, as far as I know! He gets along great with other dogs, and is good with kids! Unfortunately, he won't leave cats alone. I don't think he wants to hurt them, just VERY interested. He does pretty good on a leash, although he does tend to get tangled up with his walker! He just needs more practice. He is great meeting new people and dogs. I really can't say enough good about this boy! He would make a great addition to almost any family! He's super happy, no fears, self confident, playful and loving! He also has the coolest markings! What more could you ask for! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. Please let me know if you would like more information!

Story
Marvin is a sweet and noble dog, 1.5 years old and 30 pounds. He was hanging around the shelter for a couple of weeks, he was given food, water and some love, but we decided to take him in when he arrived really injured and covered in blood, we think he was attacked by dogs. Fortunately in his medical checkup he didn't come out with many problems, and he is now healthy and ready for his new home! He knows how to coexist with other dogs, although he has his temper, he is usually very tolerant with effusive puppies. He likes to sleep in his giant bed, is crate-trained, house-trained and is sociable and friendly with new people. He knows how to ride in a car, and smiles when you scold him, he is adorable! We don't know exactly what breed he is, google lens finds a resemblance to an English Pointer and Andalusian ratter. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Rabbit is a high energy level 8M old dog. He can live with adults, kids, and more dogs. Rabbit loves walks. He's leash trained and enjoys car rides. He is super loving and playful. He is still in the process of being house-trained. His ideal home is a family who likes walks, hikes and trips, also would be lovely if he has a doggie friend to play with.
