Story
Currently in Korea, waiting for her forever home in 🇺🇸 🐾 Background Songsol was found on the streets of Yongin, Korea last summer. She had been abandoned and was in terrible condition. Her body was extremely thin, with only skin and bones left. She had severe bedsores and was unable to walk. Weak and exhausted, she was rushed to the hospital where she stayed for one month. After her hospitalization, Songsol joined our partner boarding house. With proper care, she slowly began to gain weight and rebuild her strength. She now lives peacefully with other dogs and continues to grow healthier every day. 🐾 Personality and Socialization Songsol is a gentle and loving girl with a medium energy level. She is friendly with everyone she meets and does well with other dogs as long as they are friendly. More than anything, Songsol loves being with her people. She is very affectionate and enjoys cuddling and staying close to her humans. She is truly a people focused dog and feels happiest when she is by your side. 🐾 Behaviour Songsol is an easygoing and smart girl. She does well in the car and is calm during baths, grooming, and vet visits. She walks nicely on leash and is generally well behaved. She can experience separation anxiety and prefers being near her humans. For this reason, we are looking for a home where someone is around most of the time and can offer her reassurance and companionship. 🐾 Health and Diet While we do not know what Songsol went through before she was found, it is clear that she suffered severe neglect. Thankfully, she has fully recovered and is now healthy and is ready for her forever home. She does not require any special medication or treatment. Songsol is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. She eats dry food twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies. 🐾 Ideal Home Songsol is a sweet, gentle, and intelligent dog who deeply loves people. Her ideal home would be one where she is rarely left alone and is included in daily life. A detached house is preferred, as she may bark if she feels anxious when left alone. A quiet environment such as the countryside would suit her well. A retired person or someone who works from home and can spend plenty of time with Songsol would be the perfect match for this loving girl. 🔗 Become her forever home today through link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/songsol/

Story
Meet JESSICA R A survivor who refused to give up Just minutes before being euthanized, our sweet Jessica R was rescued from Contra Costa Animal Services. It was a heartbreaking, high-stress rescue that truly took a village to save her life. For a moment, we truly believed we were going to lose her… and we simply could not let that happen. Jessica R had already suffered so much. It was clear this gentle soul had been used for breeding, her puppies taken away from her, and then she was discarded like she didn’t matter — left alone in a shelter to face the unthinkable. Jessica R is a Pointer / Pit mix, about 4 years old, weighing 35 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Despite everything she’s endured, Jessica remains incredibly sweet, loving, and gentle, with a huge heart full of love to give. She is friendly with people and other dogs, and all she wants is to belong. This beautiful girl has known pain, loss, and abandonment — but she still trusts. She still loves. She still hopes. Jessica R deserves more than a second chance… she deserves a forever home where she will finally be cherished, protected, and loved for the rest of her life. &#226&#156&#168 Adoption | Foster-to-Adopt needed &#226&#156&#168 If you can open your heart and home to Jessica R, please contact the rescue. Be the happy ending she has waited her whole life for. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143February 19, 2026, 2:55 am

Story
Sebastian lived with 10-11 small dogs and a couple cats for most of his life. (8 years) He was the only big dog. He and his family had to flee their home in Altadena in the early hours of Jan 7, 2025 because of the Eaton fire. After staying with friends for a bit, they moved to another house. As you know the fire, 12 dogs, and displacement meant chaos. In October, while the owners were not home, there was an incident with an older male dog that had medical issues and partially blind. The owners felt they couldn’t keep Sebastian anymore since he was big and the other dogs were small. My coworker knows Sebastian, she had pet sat for his owners and her tiny Shih Tzu would play with Sebastian. To be fair to Sebastian, we are looking for a home with no other dogs. Maybe 1 other big dog so he finally gets the attention he needs at this stage in his life. He will be 9yrs old in Feb 2026. He just wants walks, cuddles and to have a home of his own. He lives in a kennel at a Vet Hospital.

Story
Meet Kaia, a beautiful Brindle Pointer/Lab mix who’s ready for her second chance at a forever home. Adopted as a puppy in late 2020, Kaia is a loving and affectionate female who gets along great with all people. While Kaia was returned to the rescue due to being aggressive with other dogs, she remains a wonderful companion for those who can provide her with a dog-free home. She has no medical concerns and is in great health, making her a ready-to-go addition to a loving household. If you’re looking for a loyal and friendly dog who will shower you with love and attention, Kaia is eager to become a cherished member of your family. She’s excited to find a home where she can enjoy all the affection and care she deserves.

Story
Handsome Great Dane / GSP Mix - 11mo Puppy! Location: Temporarily fostered in Santa Clarita (Canyon Country) until Feb 28, while we help family recover from surgery. Meet Bear! At 11 months old, he is a showstopper. He combines the stunning "blocky head" and soulful eyes of a Great Dane with the athletic build of a Pointer. He offers the best of both worlds! True to his name, he is a total "Bear" who leans his whole body into you for hugs and loves to cuddle. But he is also a young athlete who loves to run and play. He is ready for adventures and movie nights. Crate Trained and Dog Friendly: Sleeps quietly through the night and currently lives with a pack of dogs (small and large) playing well. A "Mini Great Dane" package. Handsome black & white coat with a noble expression. Training: He is smart and food-motivated! He is still a puppy, so he needs a leader to continue his basic manners. Stats: Neutered, Vaccinated, Chipped. He is untested w/ kids or cats.
