I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:4Fresca – Playful, Smart, and Full of Fun Fresca is a 10-month-old Pointer/Pit Bull Terrier mix weighing 40 pounds with a joyful personality and all the enthusiasm of a growing puppy. Active and adventurous: Fresca may be bouncy and pull on leash at the beginning of an outing, but she’s very manageable for her size and becomes more responsive as she settles into the walk. Smart and eager to learn: She responds to “come,” “sit,” and “down,” enjoying both the treats and the chance to interact with her handler. She’s attentive, curious, and loves working together. Fun-loving companion: Fresca enjoys zooming around the yard, chasing plush toys and tennis balls, and playing tug with her people. After playtime, she’s happy to soak up head and butt scratches and may even roll over for belly rubs. Dog-social: Fresca enjoys games of chase with other dogs in doggie playgroup and would do well with appropriately matched canine companions or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.  August 7, 2026, 9:16 am

Sugarplum's 7 pups were born 12/15/24. 3 males and 4 females. Pups are mellow but now walking around more and eating but too much for their current foster home to handle while they juggle their own 4 dogs and 2 cats. Mom has been moved to another foster home. Father is unknown. Meet their mom Sugarplum. Update: Susie is doing great at her home boarding/trainer home with other dogs. She loves playing with other dogs. Knows commands and very well trained. Affectionate and wants to be your BFF. Loves her hikes has great recall and daily walks. She is the last of her siblings to be adopted. Carrot is a wonderful companion that loves playing with other dogs, loves her walks, and has a curious nature. Carrot is an extremely intelligent dog and can even open gates if she wants to. She loves tug of war, walks, hikes, and walks, and would benefit from an active family. She is a loyal dog that has the cutest head tilt when being talked to. Carrot does well with dogs and cats with a proper introduction and although she has never met any kids, she is suspected of doing fine. Carrot is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. All BWR dogs come with complimentary group or private training to help ensure a successful adoption.
