Story
Allegra is a beautiful & friendly Pointer/Dalmation mix who was born Sept 2020. She loves to be outside, loves her toys, and loves playing fetch! She is a very smart girl & needs an experienced owner. She has had professional training, has good leash manners, and is looking for a home with an active person/family & a fenced yard. She is very energetic and would be a great running companion! She is people friendly, likes kids, and loves to get attention. She could easily knock small children over so older kids would be better. She is dog friendly and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but an only dog home would be OK for her. She is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped.April 18, 2024, 12:35 am

Story
We adopted Willow from a foster in Covington, GA when she was just over a year old, in 2020. She has always gotten along great with one of our dogs but she has gotten into a few fights with our other dog. It’s probably our fault, because they are all female. We have lived with this for 4 years but Willow got into a fight with the same dog one too many times and we just can’t keep her anymore. She is so smart, sweet and goofy. I also think she is very trainable for someone who might have more time for this. She has always been friendly to every person—adult and child—she has come across.

Story
Meet Penny, Sweet Penny! She was a rescue for my son approx 2 years ago. He took a 180 career turn and now I have Penny. I am gone all day nearly 5 days a week including many nights and want her to be in a situation where she can be loved on and with people more often. Penny is sweet as can be. She is great around other dogs, sweet with children and very kind. She's approx 3yo. She likes her food - she is not aggressive but gobbles hers down quickly and will gobble down her home siblings food, as well. I just feed them and sit with them while they eat and she doesn't bother the other dog. (I have her sibling - not by blood - for adoption, as well). Penny has a lot of energy and would best be suited with a yard and fenced area. She doesn't run away, is house trained, and not destructive in any way. She needs a loving family, with or without children, with or without other dogs, and access to a yard or property to run on occasion. I am willing to pay any vet bills for up to 9 months.

Story
A VERY SWEET FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 39 lbs.   Hello, my name’s Suzie!  I was rescued from animal control by Mostly Mutts and couldn’t be more grateful! I’m ready to meet my new family and start the good life all doggies deserve! I got to participate in the prison/foster training program and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met dogs recently at Mostly Mutts, and I had to learn how to play with them. Now that I have, I think I would like another dog in my new home. If you have a friendly doggie at home already, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I recently met kids at Mostly Mutts (age 10+), and I liked them!  So, if you have kids around that age, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet girl with a good bit of energy.  You will fall in love with my fun and friendly nature.  I’m also quite affectionate and ready to give and accept all the love!  A nice volunteer recently took me on a hiking daytrip, and I loved it!  They say I did great on the trail and loved the woods, probably because I’m such a great explorer!  Speaking of exploring, my nose takes me many places and it may take me into the bathroom to chew on a tissue that was left out, so best to just keep those out of nose reach.  / My energy level is 7-9 so let’s be active together and have fun!   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I expect to be a Mostly Mutts University graduate very soon!  So far, I’ve mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘leave it’, ‘place’, ‘drop it’, and ‘come’ commands and I also accept nice strangers without jumping and use proper door etiquette. I’m working hard to master my leash manners now. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, though I do whine and bark for about 20 minutes when I first go in, so it’s probably best that I don’t live in an apartment/condo community where this may be disruptive. / I was having a few accidents on the shelter schedule, but my potty habits were great on the prison/foster program schedule.  My trainer has discovered that I need to go out first thing in the morning, before we do anything else, and this has helped me. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like to play and be active, so I am looking for a family member that matches my energy level and is ready for some fun and adventure with me! Toys and balls are super fun, I love a good game of fetch. Soaking up the love is great fun too, and I will give you a gentle nudge on the hand, as if to say ‘don’t stop the petting’! / In a home I visited for a few days, I got startled and gave a little growl when new folks walked in the room I was in, but once they came in I was totally friendly.  I can’t think of any other dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a home where my family will cherish me for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  April 19, 2024, 7:21 am
