Hello Firefly! Firefly is an eight month old Pointer available for adoption. Skinny Miss Firefly came as a stray in November and she was a mess. She would pace in her kennel, try to bury her food bowls, and rub her little nose on the kennel door for attention. Firefly does well with dogs her size or bigger. She is not a fan of small dogs or cats. With her breed, she is high energy and needs lots of physical and mental exercise. She`s a goofy girl with ears that do their own thing from flopping to one side, getting stuck behind one ear, or up in the wind when she`s zooming about. We are currently working on getting her back to a healthy weight as she was all bones when she first arrived. Please do your RESEARCH on the breed! Her adoption fee is $200, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and spay. She is already fixed! Alco ( American Locomotive Company) is an English Pointer from Indiana. He just turned 7 years old. He lived in Texas most of his life and had large areas of land to exercise. He has been back in Chicago for 3 years now and has a small yard so he has gained a little weight. My daughter has developed an allergic reaction to his coat and he needs to be rehomed. Preferably someone who will walk him frequently, as I work 10 hr days and do not have the time to dedicate to him. He is super lovable, general and a big puppy. No behavior issues and is kennel trained. He was field trained but has not worked in 3 years now. I am not sure what commands stuck but he knows all the basics at this point. Sit, kennel, etc.

I’m neutered, up to date on all my vaccines, and heartworm negative. I get along great with other dogs, I’m calm and respectful with cats, and I’m totally friendly with farm animals like cows, goats, horses, and even chickens. I also love kids, especially the ones who like to play and share snacks. I’m still a puppy at heart and probably one of the goofiest dogs you’ll ever meet. My silly facial expressions and playful personality will make you smile every single day. I’m full of energy, but I also love attention and being near my people. I walk pretty well on a leash and I know how to sit. I’m very food motivated, which makes me a fast learner. Training with me will be fun because I love working for treats.
