She has a medium energy level and her ideal home would be where she can go on walks, enjoy some playtime, and then curl up on the couch for cuddles and snacks. She is ready to be someone’s loyal and loving companion.Amy gets along well with both male and female dogs and loves people of all kinds. She may do best with older kids who can handle her enthusiastic greetings. She has not met any cats yet, but would likely coexist with one.Amy has been mainly outdoors while in foster care and will need some basic training. The good news is, she’s very eager to please and should pick things up quickly with a little consistency and patience.Amy is such a sweet dog with so much love to give her new family.  Could yours be the one she's been waiting for? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Brandon is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart the moment you meet him.  There’s just something so special and endearing about him. A sweetness and warmth that makes everyone fall in love. Oh and when he gets the zoomies, it’s just about the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!!! This incredibly handsome boy is about 40 lbs and has a very gentle temperament.  He’s pretty chill, happy and truly lives up to the idea that “sweet” could really be his middle name. Story
Meri is a smart and curious little girl. She is one of the first puppies to run up and greet us as she loves people. She will often break away from her siblings and playmates to explore her play area, looking for a toy or just to check things out. Meri is a funny girl, she gets animated when asking for attention. She keeps herself busy when she needs to. She gets along well with the other puppies, she will make a great addition to most families. We are unsure of the exact breed mix this beautiful girl is, even with a photo of mom. We believe she will be a large sized dog as an adult in the 55+ lb range. She is growing fast, we will do our best to keep her photos updated, but just know that she may be a bit bigger. These photos were taken on 3/1/26. We suspect she has Cattle Dog in her, if so she may be do well with super young children, as this breed tends to be "nippy" as they are a hearding breed. She will come current on her vaccines, spayed, microchipped and is on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. **This is an Out Of Town listing. We transport to the city on this listing.** ______________________________ Considering adoption? Start by filling out our online application (copy and paste the following link) https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DIX/dog Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone or email. A Petfinder Inquiry is not the same as an application - COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a generated confirmation email. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY READY TO ADOPT. All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. *** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents
