Pointer puppies and dogs in Fitchburg, Massachusetts

Meet Sherman! 🐾❤️ Sherman has been loving life in foster, and the more time he has to settle in, the more his sweet personality shines! Once he settles in, he’s an affectionate cuddle bug who loves belly rubs, scratches, and sleeping in bed with his people. Sherman can be a lazy boy at times, and is often found lounging on the bed, but don’t let that fool you, he also loves to play, and occasionally gets the zoomies! He’s smart and food motivated — he quickly figured out a food puzzles and loves lick mats. We think he’d have a blast learning tricks with his forever family. Bonus, he is fully house trained, and lets you know when he needs to go out by heading toward the door. Like many young dogs, Sherman has some puppy behaviors, like trying to play with items that are not toys. Fortunately, he responds well to redirection with toys, and yummy treats! A fenced yard would be ideal for Sherman so he can safely run and explore. He would do best with a family willing to be patient as he continues coming out of his shell, and ideally one that is home more often to give him the love, attention, enrichment, and guidance he deserves. Give this sweet boy a little time, and you’ll discover just how special he is! ❤️🐶 🌟 Sherman does have an old knee injury, likely a previous CCL tear. After further evaluation with our vet partners, surgery is now recommended. Baypath Humane Society will be covering the cost of his surgery, which is expected to take place later this year once he has had a chance to settle into his forever home.

Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes (with proper introductions)Good with cats: Yes, dog-savvy catsGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy kidsCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesMeet Odie: 4 Years Old, 90% Certified Good Boy (10% Mischevious Pony)Odie Bruiser is a tan and white pointer mix with movie-star good looks, professional-level enthusiasm, and absolutely no idea what personal space means.Despite the name “Bruiser", Odie’s toughest opponent is probably a closed door separating him from his people. He’s a lovable goofball who approaches life with one philosophy: Why walk when you can dramatically gallop?Odie’s résumé includes: Expert Snuggler: Will happily assist with all couch-related activities. Neighborhood Watch Captain: Squirrels, suspicious leaves, and delivery trucks have all been put on notice. Personal Trainer: Your daily step count is about to improve whether you like it or not. Professional Shadow: Going to the kitchen? Odie is coming. Bathroom? Also coming. Just standing up for no apparent reason? He’d like to be involved. Zero Concept of His Own Size: Odie firmly believes he is a small, delicate lap dog. Your lap may disagree. Odie does not care. At 4 years old, Odie has moved beyond the tiny-puppy-chaos stage, but still has plenty of energy for walks, adventures, playtime, and whatever important business requires sniffing (and licking) every blade of grass on the block.Odie is fully house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash with minimal corrections. He would likely try to engage a cat in play and hasn't met any in a few years so he would do best in a no cat or dog-savvy cat home. He also gets very excited when meeting new dogs so proper introductions (going for a side-by-side walk outside to meet on neutral territory) help him to remember his manners. Because Odie bounces like Tigger and likes to jump up to say hello he would do best in a home with older or dog-savvy kiddos.Odie Bruiser is looking for a family that appreciates a handsome dog with a big personality, a bigger heart, and the firm belief that every household decision should involve him.*Odie is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program for prescription kibble.*Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Meet Espresso Bean Good things take time to brew, and Espresso is proof of that. This 4-month-old Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix is one of the four adorable pups from the "Café" litter, and he's exactly the kind of dog who reveals himself in the best way. He's dressed in a beautiful white coat covered in the cutest tan details: a striking patch around his right eye, little cow-like spots scattered across his back, and a dipped tail that ties his whole one-of-a-kind look together. When Espresso first arrived, he was the more reserved and thoughtful one of the Café puppies. While some of his siblings dove headfirst into the middle of everything, Espresso liked to take it all in first, quietly sniffing around and giving himself a little time to decide that everything was okay. That gentle, observant nature is still part of who he is, but he has blossomed so much since then, and the playful, affectionate puppy underneath has come out in a big way. Espresso grew up alongside his three Café Litter siblings, giving him wonderful early socialization with other young puppies. Since being at the rescue, he has truly come out of his shell with other dogs, and they bring out his very best. He comes most alive in the company of his canine friends, where he's respectful, attentive, and affectionate. He would thrive in a household with other dogs, and he also does well with cats, making him a great fit for a busy, animal-loving home. The team at Three Little Pitties Rescue is rooting for this puppy. Espresso has wowed us with his openness, thoughtful nature, affection, and respectful play at such a young age. Like any puppy his age, Espresso is still early in his training journey. His forever family should be ready to continue working on potty training, crate training, leash skills, basic commands, and positive socialization with patience and consistency as he grows. Espresso is thoughtful, inquisitive, affectionate, and oh-so-sweet. Give this handsome spotted boy a loving home, and he'll happily show you just how much puppy love he's been brewing. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a8df38e90889e1d800adb0c Questions? Meet Dino Sprinkled Donut! Dino is an easygoing guy with a gentle nature and a steady, stable personality. He's the kind of dog who takes life as it comes, and with that sweet, mellow spirit, he makes friends wherever he goes. He's equal parts playful and couch potato. A little exercise is all Dino needs before he's ready to head back inside and relax, so he would do great in a home with a yard or even in an apartment. His handsome black and white coat is the perfect finishing touch for a dog who's as easy to love as he is to look at. Dino is an amazing social dog with both people and dogs. Dino would do best with a confident/avoidant cat household! Even though he doesn't currently live with another dog or cat, he greets every friend he meets with a loose body and a happy tail wag. He invites them to play, runs around for a little while, then takes a break and goes back to wandering the yard or relaxing nearby. He's a low energy guy, so he would do great in a home with a medium or low energy dog. He's also easy on the leash, which makes him a fun dog to take along to breweries and other outings. He's friendly, relaxed, and can fit in just about anywhere. Dino has spent a long time moving between households because of personal changes in his family. Through all of it, he has stayed the same sweet, stable guy, which says a lot about the dog he is. Now he's ready for something he hasn't had yet: a forever home. Dino is looking for a home that will give him love, a comfy spot on the couch, and a promise that this time is for good. Could that be you? https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6abfd49a9e6a2e6b450e78c8 Questions?
