Story
Remington “Remy” Anne is a pointer mix, almost 4, and has been spayed/neutered. She is up to date on all vaccinations and has been well taken care of. She is house-trained, knows basic commands, and loves to play fetch. She is successful with training in the home learning new commands. She craves to learn and be engaged with her humans. She knows what items are her toys. She has never been aggressive with food around people or tried to take any food from me or counters. She does well on solo walks or when she is with a familiar dog with her people. But gets anxious around unknown dogs. She needs to be in a solo dog home with no small animals or cats. She requires a home with a fenced in yard that is not chain linked. Looking active individual or family who will provide her with the attention she deserves. She’s best with older children because of her high energy. She’s super loving and loves to give kisses. She’s gives great snuggles. A quick learner and highly food motivated.

Story
This is Opal, a beautiful pointer mix, about 6 1/2 years old and 60 pounds. Opal is in the prime of her life! She is athletic and agile and loves running and going for walks. Opal is a sweetie pie with a gentle heart. She adores children, bonds easily with women, and loves to play. Opal enjoys chasing balls and zooming around the yard and will need a fenced yard that is not chain link in order to enjoy her daily exercise. She does well on a leash and car rides. Indoors Opal is a calm and happy house companion with great manners and is fully house-trained and doggie-door-trained. She takes treats very gently. She likes to keep tabs on her people and will come check on you to see what you're doing. At night she will sleep in her dog bed or join you in your bed if you invite her. She can be on the shy side in new situations, and loud noises frighten her, but be patient and she'll warm right up! Opal greatly enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those her size or larger. A dog her size to play with would be a bonus for her! If you're ready for a lady in your family as sweet and lovely as Opal, please apply at https://istodaymydayrescue.org/. Because of a generous donor, Opal's adoption fee is $195.00.
