🐾✨ Meet Tina — A Gentle, Affectionate Pointer Mix Looking for Her Forever Home ✨🐾 📍 Location: Korea 🇰🇷 (able to fly once adopted ✈️) 🐶 Name: Tina 🎂 Age: Approximately 5 years old ⚖️ Weight: 28.6 lbs ♀ Gender: Female (Spayed) 🐕 Breed: Pointer Mix (possibly Pitbull-Pointer mix) 🎨 Color: White & Black 🧡 Personality & Temperament Tina is a loving, affectionate girl who truly enjoys human touch and closeness. She has a calm and quiet nature, but she also knows how to have fun when it’s time to play. After playtime, she happily settles down and rests — and she does appreciate her downtime. She is gentle, social, and very people-oriented. 👩‍👨‍👧 Social Skills With women: Very good With men: Very good With children: Good With other dogs: Friendly and well-mannered With cats: She may look at them out of curiosity, but if redirected, she quickly loses interest 🏡 Training & Habits Potty trained: 100% pee pad trained and 100% outdoor trained Crate trained: Excellent — very comfortable in her crate Leash manners: Walks nicely and follows well. She only pulls slightly when she needs to potty Car rides: Loves car rides and usually falls asleep after getting in ⚡ Energy Level Moderate. She plays when it’s playtime but needs plenty of rest as well. She has a balanced energy level that makes her adaptable to many lifestyles. 🚨 Things to Note Tina can be startled by loud noises or sudden big movements. In those moments, she may try to jump away, so proper handling and secure leash management are important. She is not destructive in general, but if left alone and food is accessible on high places, she may try to reach it. 🏠 Home Environment Apartment living: ✅ Suitable Yard: Not required, but okay if available Can live as an only dog or with other dogs 💔 Rescue Story Tina was rescued from a large-scale breeding facility for big dogs. Despite her difficult past, she has grown into a loving, gentle, and trusting companion who is ready to start a new chapter with her forever family. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, and loyal companion who will stay close to your side, Tina may be your perfect match. 💛

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  ZORROLoki is approx 5yrs old and and 60lbs, housebroken and crate trained.  He enjoys his crate and goes into it when ever he is looking to relax. Loki has been good with other dogs, seems to prefer smaller or female dogs and would do well with an equally playful dog.  He walks well on a leash, would love to agility as he is very athletic and loves to jump. We would recommend Loki in a home without young children and with someone who can provide him structure and consistency. He walks well on the leash and loves time at the beach.   *reduced adoption fee $250*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 23, 2025, 9:58 pm

If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.  Meet Eleanor! Eleanor is a lovely lady, approximately 2-3 years old, with a heart as warm as her fur. She's not just a dog; she's a testament to resilience and trust. Her journey started in a loud shelter, where she was a new mother to a litter of 8 precious puppies. Eleanor's protective instincts ran deep, making it challenging for her to trust humans. This situation put her and her little ones at risk of euthanasia. But then, a ray of hope shone through when Eleanor found her way to St. Francis Farm. Over time, in the safe and loving environment of the farm, she has made incredible strides in opening up and learning to trust our dedicated staff. Once she feels comfortable, Eleanor transforms into a total mush! It does still take a little time forher to warm up to new faces. We are looking for someone that would be comfortable coming to the farm and getting to know this precious girl. She adores being close to her person and is always eager to earn treats with her impeccable behavior. You'll find her peacefully content in her kennel, only becoming vocal when it's feeding time. Eleanor is a social butterfly among her fellow canine friends, enjoying their company and outdoor playtime. Yet, she equally cherishes those quiet moments when she can curl up in your lap and bask in the affection you share. Eleanor is a true testament to the transformative power of love and care. If you're looking for a loyal companion who'll warm your heart, consider welcoming Eleanor into your life. Come meet her at St. Francis Farm and experience the magic of her journey firsthand. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 14, 2025, 3:00 pm

Bogey is up to date on core vaccinations and is microchipped. He will be neutered prior to joining his forever home unless  there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Bogey is good with people and other dogs. This big, goofy, silly mush of a dog loves to be wherever his people are. He  adores every dog he’s ever met--big ones, little ones, even the ones who wish he would go away! Bogey is not a fan of being crated but hasn't destroyed anything (except for stealing food) while roaming free. This handsome, fabulous boy is looking for his happy ever after with his forever family. If Bogey's path to happiness leads to your front door, please apply online to adopt Bogey (MS) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Story
Charlie - 1.5 years old, Pointer Mix, 50lbs, Neutered This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Questions about Charlie? Want to chat all things Charlie? Please email Julie@socialteesnyc.org. This sweet boy has waited far too long for his forever home!  Want to see some videos of Charlie? Please click here.    Our Team Says: You can’t post Charlie without including his doggy foster sibling. This 1.5-year-old pointer mix deeply values his canine connections, so it’s only fair to make it clear upfront that he’ll need a home with another pup. He is a stress case during transitions and in loud areas, but when he’s got dog buddies around and has had a minute to relax, he’s ridiculous. Silly, snuggly, acrobatic, eager for love. He’s 50 lbs and will need a home in the burbs with another pup."His awesome foster mom says: "Charlie is a truly special boy who has blossomed during the nearly 7 months we’ve had the joy of fostering him. Once an extremely shy pup who was scared of his own shadow, he has grown into a tail-wagging, fun-loving dog who happily frolics on the beach, plays in the snow, and makes fast friends with dogs everywhere he goes. Charlie is curious, playful, and absolutely adores other dogs. He loves meeting them, running around together, and playing with any toy he can find. Fetch on the beach or in the yard is a favorite. While he can be shy around new people at first, with patience and time he warms up beautifully. When he is off leash at the beach, his confidence truly shines and he will happily say hello to people and run around with their dogs. He does not have an aggressive bone in his body. Charlie is gentle, kind, and silly, and he loves giving a little paw when he wants attention. Like many young dogs, he may bark occasionally at something unfamiliar, such as the mailman, but he is truly all bark and no bite. He also loves food and may jump on the counter if you are not looking, which is very typical puppy behavior and continues to improve with training and maturity. Charlie has made huge progress with walking on and off leash and is, outside of rare circumstances, fully potty trained. With a few walks during the day and one before bed, he is very consistent. Inside the house, he enjoys snuggling and napping or playing with our dog, Rosie. As long as the space is puppy-proofed, Charlie can also be left alone for several hours with a treat and toys and will settle down until you return. Charlie would thrive in a suburban home with a fenced yard where he has space to roam and safely burn off energy. He would do wonderfully with another dog, as he truly loves canine companionship. He is still growing into himself and becomes more confident every day. With the right home, Charlie will be an incredible and loving addition!" TOLERANCE TO CITYCountry Mouse- Charlie cannot live in the city, the sounds and hustle-bustle are too much for him. A fenced-in yard, preferably with another dog to play with, we think is his ideal environment.POTTY TRAININGYes- Charlie will really only have an accident if he is meeting new people or there is some commotion going on, which causes him to nervously pee. But other than that he is very good at going outside!COMFORT LEVEL WITH STRANGERSWallflower- Charlie takes a long time to warm up to newcomers if they come into the house-he usually also will run away from strangers walking towards him when out for a walk. He is a little more comfortable around women than men in that regard, but he still takes some time to get used to new people and feel comfortable and safe around them. With time and exposure he grows more comfortable, but it is a process.BEHAVIOR WITH CHILDRENMaybe for ages 12 and up- We would say a big *maybe* only because we haven't seen Charlie around children before. He is not in any way hostile or aggressive towards anyone while we've had him, he just takes time to warm up to people and, we don't believe, he would handle children being too overly familiar and excitable around him right away.SOCIAL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER DOGSYes-Charlie LOVES playing with other dogs. Our golden retriever and him get along extremely well and he loves going to my parents house and spending quality time with their dog as well!RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER ANIMALSNot sure- Very much a "not sure" here, we've only seen Charlie interact with other dogs but not other animals in the home or otherwise.MOUTHY BEHAVIORNeeds Training- Charlie is incredibly sweet and excitable-he loves to play by gnawing, nibbling and biting which requires some work to regulate. He also LOVES to chew on things other than toys (tissue boxes, hats, headphones, etc.) if he's a little restless and wants to play. "Dog-proofing" rooms for when he is to be left alone unsupervised, so that he doesn't have that much access to things to chew on, along with a lot of distracting toys and treats at one's disposal, will be very important. SEPARATION ANXIETYPast this stage- Charlie is completely fine being left alone for multiple hours. He just sometimes gets so excited when you're back that he'll jump and scratch at the door to be let out so he can say hi!LEASH MANNERSGetting the hang of it- We're working to establish some consistency and discipline with Charlie on the leash. He is getting much more accustomed to the routine of walking but does pull hard to go back home if he is startled or scared. It helps to stop him when he does that and hold him for a little and tell him that everything is okay. After that he stabilizes a little bit. It's a work in progress but he is improving consistently!CUDDLE BUG LEVELMedium- Charlie loves to sleep, cuddle, and snuggle. He loves to get in bed with me and my wife to sleep, and will curl up near us on the couch when we're hanging out as well. He is so sweet!JUMPING ON PEOPLE TO SAY HELLONeeds training- One thing we're working on a lot with him now-Charlie is a leaping lizard! He loves to give you his paw and jump on you when he's excited-we're trying to work on regulating those impulses. It is not aggressive in any way, he just gets excited and wants to play or say hi to you!CRATE TRAININGNot at all- I believe Charlie has had prior experience with a crate but we don't use one with him now. When we leave him alone for whatever reason we leave him in our room with the door closed and with our other dog, along with a bowl of water and some treats/toys. This doesn't mean he CAN'T be crated, we just haven't had any reason to so far. Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from Tennessee or Puerto Rico; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intakeHow did this dog end up with Social Tees? Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses. This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. LEARN MORE ABOUT US: socialteesnyc.org and Instagram @socialteesnyc ##2652595##
