Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY. Meet Eleanor! Eleanor is a lovely lady, approximately 2-3 years old, with a heart as warm as her fur. She's not just a dog; she's a testament to resilience and trust. Her journey started in a loud shelter, where she was a new mother to a litter of 8 precious puppies. Eleanor's protective instincts ran deep, making it challenging for her to trust humans. This situation put her and her little ones at risk of euthanasia. But then, a ray of hope shone through when Eleanor found her way to St. Francis Farm. Over time, in the safe and loving environment of the farm, she has made incredible strides in opening up and learning to trust our dedicated staff. Once she feels comfortable, Eleanor transforms into a total mush! It does still take a little time forher to warm up to new faces. We are looking for someone that would be comfortable coming to the farm and getting to know this precious girl. She adores being close to her person and is always eager to earn treats with her impeccable behavior. You'll find her peacefully content in her kennel, only becoming vocal when it's feeding time. Eleanor is a social butterfly among her fellow canine friends, enjoying their company and outdoor playtime. Dove is one of the sweetest souls you will ever have the pleasure of loving. This beauty is 2-3 years old. She is a pointer lab dalmation mix and weighs 40-50 lbs. A true bringer of Peace and Harmony – Dove is a people lover with a calm energy and the sweetest face you can imagine. Her eyes are those of an old soul and with one look she will melt your heart. For a girl with only 3 legs, she can move with the best of them, but she’s just as happy to be curled up on the porch or lying out in the sunshine. Dove LOVES people, is great with kids and loves getting all the pats and attention. Her tail will immediately let you know how happy she is to see you when walk into a room with her. Dove is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $500, which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

Duke loves to follow you every where and just be with his people. His tail is constantly wagging. He is eager to meet everyone he meets. He is a fan of giving kisses! He is also quite the looker- check out those amazing eyes. He is a 2 year old mixed breed pup. He weighs about 60lbs. Duke is good with other dogs and children. Duke does well by himself, but loves to play with his other foster dog siblings. Duke is potty trained, crate trained, knows how to sit (and is working on other commands), is content to play with himself, sleep on the floor next to you, or head out on an adventure. Duke rides well in the car. He walks great on a leash. He has not met a cat before. He’s attentive and smart, and so sweet. He would make the perfect addition to any home or lifestyle.
