Sweet Ohana came to us from a horrible hoarding situation where dogs were being kept in horrible conditions and only being fed other animals feces - she came to us with horrible skin - she only weighed 30 pounds and had no idea how to be a dog - and she is blind (we do think she can see shadows) But this girl has blossomed and is now a healthy 50 pounds - she is all legs - from what we know was on the property - we think she is possibly a pointer mix and do not let her limited vision hold you back as unless we told you she was mostly blind you would not know as she does amazing. She mastered the stairs in less than 3 days. We believe she is between 3-5 years old. She loves loves loves to play and loves her toys - she is great with other dogs and wants to play and she does well with cats. She has been around kids and does great. She is now housebroken and crate trained and does awesome. Pretty good for a dog that lived in her own feces and urine for years. Ohana deserves nothing but the best and a family that will always cherish and love her - she is going to be an amazing addition to some very lucky family. She loves to smell around in the fenced in back yard and take in all the smells and we do feel like she would do better with a fenced in yard though she does well on a leash as well if you wanted to take her for walks Ohana is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, dewormed , has had a full bloodwork panel done, and current on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.00. We do require reference checks and a home visit - if you are interested in Ohana please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications - we do not set up a meet and greet until the application is filled out

This is Lola, she is a 4 year old pointer mix. She is a sweet and very loyal companion. I adopted her about 3 years ago, and she has added more to my life than I would have ever expected. She loves to run and play fetch, but also will lay around and be lazy with you. She knows several commands: sit, stay, rollover, lay down, shake, come. She is extremely smart and catches on quickly with the motivation of treats. She does not get a long with other pets, primarily dogs. She lives with a cat, and they are friends however it took a fair amount of conditioning. I would love nothing more than to keep her but due to life circumstances I am forced to find her a new home.

Here are some facts about myself. 🐾I am a Pointer/Hound Mix 🐾I am fully vaccinated and Neutered 🐾I weigh in at 53 pounds and am fully grown at 2 Years Young! 🐾I love to play and run around in the Yard chasing balls and toys 🐾I am crate trained/House Trained (unless you miss my signal)/Leash Trained) unless I see a cat) 🐾I do great on a car ride and Love to meet new people on my terms 🐾I like most other dogs, but can I get a little rough during play time so my size or a rough and tumble little dog are fine 🐾Cats to me are to be chased out of the yard, up a tree and out of my universe 🐾I have no bad habits and if you keep me under close watch, I will not form any 🐾I am perfectly fine with kids above the age of 10, little kids have toys I want to eat and push over so I am better with kids taller and heavier than I am I came to the Rescue is pretty bad shape but look at me now. I am a highly food motivated young man and that makes it even easier to teach me new tricks. I am stubborn and need a person that can keep me in line. If I know I can't push you around I am the perfect dog. If you do not give me any boundaries, I will act accordingly! I have a very loud Bay but use it sparingly. I am an active young man but also LOVE to snuggle on the couch. With plenty of play time and walks I will be the perfect gentleman. I do get along with most dogs so I would even enjoy day care or large group play dates. I love toys...really LOVE toys! :) Want to meet me ?
