Story
(DOB 05/31/2025) Due to Kacey’s young age, she has not been spayed yet. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within a 1-hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).
Kacey is a sweet, playful girl with a big heart and an even bigger love for life! This happy pup is full of youthful energy, curiosity, and charm, and she’s ready to grow into an amazing companion with the right family by her side. She is as beautiful as she is sweet. You will be drawn in by her mezmeizing eyes and gorgeous coat!
Kacey would thrive in a home with prior puppy experience and a commitment to patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Like any young pup, she’s still learning the ropes and will need continued training, especially as she grows bigger and stronger. Daily walks, playtime, enrichment, and opportunities to practice her leash manners will help her burn energy and build confidence. For Kacey, another fun, playful dog in the home is a must-have and would make her tail wag nonstop.
This girl does best when she can stay engaged and close to her people. A family or person with a flexible schedule whether that means working from home, mid-day check-ins, or the use of doggie day camp will help her succeed, as she’s still working through some separation anxiety and truly misses her humans when they’re gone. After a full day of adventures, training, and play, she settles in nicely and enjoys curling up in her crate for a cozy night’s sleep.
Kacey would do well in a home with respectful, older kids who understand typical puppy behaviors like jumping and occasional nipping as she learns boundaries. She’s also learning about sharing; this toy-loving girl can be a bit of a toy hog, so her future family should be ready to continue positive reinforcement training to help her practice polite give and take. She can live with cats too, as long as everyone understands she may chase them in an effort to play.
A fenced backyard would be a wonderful bonus for Kacey, but it’s not required for the right active family committed to meeting her needs. Above all, she’s looking for a home filled with love, companionship, structure, and lots of fun. If you’re ready for puppy kisses, play sessions, and watching a sweet girl blossom, Kacey may be your perfect match.
As part of Kacey’s $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.
