Story
Hey there! My name is Copper, and I'm ready to share my story with you. I'm a 2 and a half-year-old English Pointer / English Foxhound mix, weighing in at a solid 65 pounds. Let me tell you a bit about what makes me who I am! First off, I'm a friendly and playful guy with lots of energy to spare. I love making new friends, especially other dogs-I'm great at playgroups here at the shelter! I'm also pretty tolerant of cats, so if you have feline friends at home, I think we could get along just fine. I consider myself a smart boy. I pick up on things quickly and love using my brain to solve puzzles and learn new tricks. Keeping my mind active is just as important as keeping my body busy! I would be the perfect match for an active family who loves to hike or play sports. I have lots of energy to burn and would thrive with a family who enjoys outdoor adventures. If you're interested in meeting me, please submit your adoption application online first. This helps the shelter make sure that we're a good match and sets us up for success when we finally meet face to face. And don't forget-when you adopt from us, you're bringing home a pet who's spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. It's all part of our commitment to keeping us healthy and safe. If you're looking for a friendly, energetic, and intelligent companion to join your family, I might just be the dog for you. Let's embark on this adventure together! Let's be BFFs! Filling out an application is super duper easy and it puts you at no obligation to adopt if we aren't the perfect match. You can use this quick and easy link to meet me soon: https://foothillshumanesociety.org/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Sweet Ohana came to us from a horrible hoarding situation where dogs were being kept in horrible conditions and only being fed other animals feces - she came to us with horrible skin - she only weighed 30 pounds and had no idea how to be a dog - and she is blind (we do think she can see shadows) But this girl has blossomed and is now a healthy 50 pounds - she is all legs - from what we know was on the property - we think she is possibly a pointer mix and do not let her limited vision hold you back as unless we told you she was mostly blind you would not know as she does amazing. She mastered the stairs in less than 3 days. We believe she is between 3-5 years old. She loves loves loves to play and loves her toys - she is great with other dogs and wants to play and she does well with cats. She has been around kids and does great. She is now housebroken and crate trained and does awesome. Pretty good for a dog that lived in her own feces and urine for years. Ohana deserves nothing but the best and a family that will always cherish and love her - she is going to be an amazing addition to some very lucky family. She loves to smell around in the fenced in back yard and take in all the smells and we do feel like she would do better with a fenced in yard though she does well on a leash as well if you wanted to take her for walks Ohana is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, dewormed , has had a full bloodwork panel done, and current on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.00. We do require reference checks and a home visit - if you are interested in Ohana please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications - we do not set up a meet and greet until the application is filled out

Story
Hello, my name is Lola! I am an English Pointer born 7/18/22. I came to Richardson rescue because my owner died and there was no one to take care of me and my siblings.  I am lovable and want to learn to live with my forever pack. I do need a little work  walking on a leash, and house manners, but I am smart and eager to learn. It is unknown if I have ever lived in a home with a family before, but that is my dream. I will be affectionate and loyal in return, if only someone would give me a chance. I enjoy doggy ice cream, playing with chew toys, and playing with my sister. I get along well with the dogs here at the rescue. I can run like the breeze! I have been brought up to date on all vaccines and medical, Spayed Micro chipped.  If you could please go to Richardsonrescue.org and fill out an adoption application, it would be wonderful  to find someone to love me.        - Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 10:17 am
