Blue Flint says he is a hound mix, with a vet estimated year of birth of 2020.  He is full of life and love. He is a super busy guy who will need lots of exercise and structure. Chevy is eager to please and has a very gentle mouth when taking treats and playing fetch. He is super smart and learns very fast. He really needs a home with a fenced in yard so he has plenty of room to run, play and burn off some energy and a family committed to working with him on training to provide the mental exercise he needs. He will also need to be an only pet. Chevy will be about 60lbs full grown. ~Adoption donation $300 All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and neutered. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. I’m Delilah. Yes, this is my happy face. No, it’s not going to change. Apparently, photos of me make me look like I’m auditioning to be the canine successor to Grumpy Cat. I prefer the term emotionally economical. Smiling is exhausting and I’m a low-energy queen. I’m six years old, 48 pounds of perfectly portioned side-eye, and I’m looking for a home where I can be your one and only. That’s right. No other dogs. I don’t share snacks, spotlight, or emotional support humans. Let’s review my qualifications: • Professional level walker. I glide down the sidewalk like I’m judging everyone. • I know “sit.” I will demonstrate… if compensated. • Highly treat motivated. I accept cash in the form of snacks. • Low energy. I believe in conserving power for important activities, like staring at you while you eat. • Good with kids. Small humans are acceptable. They drop food and respect my authority. Ivy was adopted in August 2023 at the Watauga Humane shelterin Boone, NC. She was estimated to be about 8 weeks old when adopted and is some kind of hound/pointer mix. She is a wonderful dog who loves to play and cuddle. She loves going to the dog park and going on long walks and runs. She loves the outdoors and loves to swim and play fetch. She knows commands like sit, stay, lay down, shake, and spin. She has good name recall and is completely potty trained. I think she would love a yard where she can run around and be free and also be with another dog to have as a friend. She is really sweet and a great dog She loves to socialize with other dogs a lot. She can be a little skittish in loud environments, but she is generally calm. She does get a bit protective towards strangers and may bark in the house. Unfortunately I have allergies to her that progressively got worse as she grew older and I have tried a lot of different treatments, but they still affect me negatively daily.
