Cee Cee is the dog that you can't help but fall in love with. She is smart, sweet, and affectionate. She enjoys all the love while leaning into to you. She is tolerant and accepting of other dogs. Cee Cee is crate trained and calm in the car. She has been told she is the best house guest, despite a few chewed pillows here and there! She is an active and smart dog and is looking for someone who give her the right physical and mental stimulation. She is very affectionate and quite jumpy. We would not recommend her for a home with small kids. She would be happy as an only dog or with another canine companion. Medical Note: This dog is being treated/has been treated for heartworm disease. Untreated heartworm disease can cause lasting damage to the heart, lungs and arteries, and can affect the dog’s health and quality of life even after the parasites are gone, possibly presenting as medical complications and/or new conditions in the future. Whenever possible, SOSARL advocates for following the American Heartworm Society guidelines for heartworm disease treatment as the safest and most effective methods; the active portion of this treatment protocol can take up to four months to complete. Once treatment is completed and the dog tests negative for microfilaria, the dog will be cleared to resume normal activity and will be ready to travel north and be placed into an adoptive home. This dog showed no symptoms of heartworm disease before or during treatment, and is expected to complete treatment with no complications. Please ask your Adoption Counselor for the specific treatment protocol used for and current status of this dog.
