Story
adoption donation : $699 weight 40 lbs  Age 2 years       Sweet Stubby was found wandering alone in a rural part of Mississippi, and taken in by an elderly man who fell in love with this gentle boy but couldn’t keep him. He called Wags for help and the rescue took him in, The man’s grandson named him Stubby for his little short legs!     Stubby is a sweet boy, he is gentle and gets along fine with all the dogs at the rescue. He was recently neutered and has all his vaccinations and is ready for a loving home. Stubby absolutely loves to be with his people, he follows the director of the rescue all over the property, his little tail wagging. He is gentle with children and just a great family dog. Stubby is house trained at Wags but like any rescue may need a refresher while he adjusted to a new home.   Stubby is ready to come to the northeast on Saturday, March 8. He will make a wonderful member of the family.       Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting Marshmallow or any of our Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    May 14, 2025, 7:57 am

Story
Meet Tommy, an affectionate young terrier-hound mix in search of his forever home. This playful pup absolutely loves the company of other dogs and brings a joyful, social energy wherever he goes. He’s affectionately known for his “Tommy Time”—his own adorable spin on the zoomies that’s sure to make you laugh. Whether he’s darting around the yard or chasing his favorite stuffed toys, Tommy knows how to have a good time. Though he can be a little reserved at first, Tommy warms up quickly and becomes a total cuddlebug. He’s curious about the world and has met a cat before—he did well, though he hasn’t lived with one. He also has excellent recall; call his name, and he’ll come running with enthusiasm. Fully house and crate trained, Tommy is a well-mannered companion who’s ready to bring love, fun, and plenty of “Tommy Time” to his new home. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful pup, Tommy might be the perfect match.
