Meet Bluey! Adoption Fee: $449 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a calm, loving personality, Bluey is your guy. At about 4.5 years old and 90 pounds, this handsome boy is the definition of a gentle giant. He's affectionate, easygoing, and happiest when he's surrounded by the people he loves. Bluey has wonderful house manners and gets along beautifully with everyone he meets. He loves children, is great with other dogs, does well with cats, and has the kind of sweet, gentle temperament that makes everyone fall in love with him. Whether he's enjoying playtime in the yard, going for a walk, or simply relaxing beside you, Bluey is just happy to be included. He's a joyful, loving dog who is ready to be a devoted member of a family. Bluey's journey to rescue is one well never forget. For years, Bluey lived alone in a small outdoor shed through the scorching summer heat and freezing winter cold. One of our rescue volunteers couldn't bear to see him living that way. She pleaded with his owner to let him go, even offering to buy him. She contacted Animal Control, brought him gifts, and refused to give up hope. After countless attempts, the owner finally agreed, and Bluey was set free. Today, Bluey is thriving in the very foster home of the woman who never stopped fighting for him. She's watched him blossom into the happy, confident dog he was always meant to be, and now it's time for Bluey to find the forever family he's waited so long to have. After everything he's endured, Bluey deserves a lifetime of love, soft beds, belly rubs, and people who will cherish him as much as he will cherish them. If you're ready to welcome this incredible boy into your heart and home, submit your adoption application today. Bluey has waited long enough for his happily ever after—now all he needs is you. Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts local and in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. Story
Meet Sherman! 🐾💙 Sherman is a sweet, friendly guy with a fun-loving personality! He loves spending time with people and has done well with other dogs. He's playful and energetic when it's time for fun, but once he gets his playful side out, Sherman is actually a pretty lazy guy! He loves a good nap and is always happy to settle in for some snuggle time with his people. Sherman recently settled into a new foster home and is doing great! His foster family is getting to know him more each day, and he's showing them what a wonderful mix of playful, affectionate, and laid-back he can be. Sherman is also suspected to have an old injury to his right knee, likely a previous CCL tear that has since healed. At this time, surgery is not recommended. His knee will be managed with joint supplements and, if needed, pain medication to help keep him comfortable. Sherman can't wait to find a family of his own to play, nap, and snuggle with. Start the process to meet him today! 💙

Story
Peggy is a petite girl weighing a whopping 25 lbs! She is approximately 1.5 years old. This gentle girl absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. She is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this fur-baby until their forever home is found. Peggy was found in January of 2026 in a cemetery with about 12+ other dogs. She was fending for herself, finding food, water and shelter where and when she could. Peggy was the smallest of the bunch, so she was probably picked on a lot more than the other doggies. She is much calmer than the other dogs at the sanctuary. Peggy likes to play, but she also likes to just sit back and watch everyone else cause trouble. She will run along side of them, with sometimes joining in the rough housing. She likes to ref the other dogs by barking at them playing. Peggy would be great for a calmer household – play in the backyard with another dog and her toys. She is working on her leash training – she is crate trained. Peggy loves playing in the water and laying in the kiddy pool, cooling off. If you want a small doggy to stay by your side, to cuddle with and to enjoy the nice days outside – Peggy is a wonderful choice. Peggy is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY – Only one transport company goes here, once a month Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA – THESE STOPS ARE PENDING Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. Newton came to FOCCAS with his brother and sister. He is still a little bit timid, but is getting braver all the time. He is excited to go for walks, but nervous about getting a leash put on him. He is learning to walk using a gentle leader since he is a strong boy. He does like to roll over for belly rubs and is treat motivated. He does take treats very gently. He would like to be a buddy to someone who will continue to work with him on his training.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
