Story
13 years young | ~7 lbs | Chihuahua mix | Foster-to-Adopt eligibleMeet Loofah Egypt 13 years young | ~7 lbs | Chihuahua mix Fostered in the San Francisco Bay Area Foster-to-Adopt eligible Loofah (affectionately known as Loo Loo) is a tiny senior with a big personality and a whole lot of charm packed into her petite frame. At around 5–7 pounds, she may be small, but she’s still up for a half-mile morning walk and loves poking around the backyard to see what’s new. Loo Loo is the definition of a sweet, independent lady. She’s not much for being carried around—unless it’s on her terms, and then only for a brief cuddle. She prefers lounging in one of her many strategically placed beds, rotating nap spots like a pro. At night, she sleeps peacefully in her own bed on the floor (no human bed sharing for this girl, thank you very much), providing a delightful soundtrack of tiny snores and sleepy grunts. It’s absurdly cute. She’s mostly potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside—though as a senior, her “waiting window” is understandably limited. She’ll also make her opinions known with a soft little whine. (Yes, this includes requests for your dinner. No, you should not give in.) Loofah gets along well with men, women, and respectful kids (she’s done great with a 12-year-old), and she mostly ignores the other dog in her foster home. She eats kibble like a champ—even without all of her teeth—and is always happy to accept a treat… or two… or three. One firm preference: she does not like being crated. Foster-to-Adopt Details: Loofah is available for foster to adopt with someone who can bring her to the rescue’s vet in Pittsburg for her upcoming spay and dental. If you’re looking for a low-key, endearing senior who enjoys daily walks, cozy naps, and gently communicating her needs, Loofah Egypt is ready to charm her way into your heart. Story
Cash is a 6 year old male, 20 lbs, house trained sweet dog. I adopted Cash when he was 4 months from Hop Along Adoption. Due to severe allergies, I need to rehome Cash. He is good with other pets after his nerves settle, he is really playful and loves hugs. I have a small grand daughter and he is good with her, follows her around. Story
&#226&#156&#168 ADOPTABLE LEGEND ALERT &#226&#156&#168 Meet Harpy — 7 lbs of chiweenie chaos, comedy, and cuddles. Once upon a time, a shelter guessed Harpy was ~4 years old… not because of his teeth, but because of his attitude Plot twist: he’s probably more like 1–2 years old and was just having a &#226&#156&#168rough chapter&#226&#156&#168. Let’s talk lore Size: 7 lbs (portable, TSA-sized demon) Age: Young-ish (emotionally ancient in the shelter, youthful gremlin at home) Vision: Very sight-impaired but not fully blind — vibes > visuals Vet visits: Spicy. Especially when thermometers are involved. Don’t we all relate? Past life: Adopted into a loud, busy home with lots of kids/animals → briefly became The Exorcist Current life: Foster home in Sacramento = COMEDY GOLD In his foster home, Harpy has revealed his true form: &#226&#156&#148 Loves humans, visitors, 3 dogs, and 2 cats &#226&#156&#148 Obsessed with toys and being included in literally everything &#226&#156&#148 LOVES walks &#226&#156&#148 Car rides = dramatic whining… unless he’s in foster dad’s lap (problem solved) &#226&#156&#148 Lives for mealtime &#226&#156&#148 Pee pad trained + goes outside (but yeah, accidents happen if access is denied) &#226&#156&#148 Communicates exclusively in chiweenie commentary &#226&#156&#148 Sleeps burrowed under blankets 100% of the time &#226&#156&#148 Will crawl into clean laundry and cause near-death experiences &#226&#156&#148 Sleeps belly-up, balls-out, without shame Medical note : Harpy has corneal edema, but it’s not painful and currently requires no eye drops. Important update from the foster files : Harpy was only away from his foster home ONE night, where he turned into Linda Blair, and in the several weeks since returning, this alleged shape-shifter has shown ZERO signs of possession. The demon era appears to be… over. &#226&#158&#161&#239&#184&#143 for now. Location: Sacramento Meet him where he feels safe and hilarious — not scared and spicy — so you can see the real Harpy experience. We do not recommend a home with young children. Older calm children that can allow him time to decompress and warm up is OK. Same goes for adults because some adults just can't help themselves either when something is that freaking adorable (Guilty) If you’re open to loving a formerly possessed demon trapped in the body of the Toy Story slinky, send us an email.! Harpy is ready to steal your blankets, your laundry, and your heart. We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  February 20, 2026, 3:36 pm
