Story
Goldie is a high energy little puppy who loves attention and loves to play ball and tug-a-war. She was given away as a free dog at the library, and has been in a loving home, she is up to date on her shots and has been spayed, and potty trained. Unfortunately the lady that adopted her is elderly and just can't keep up with this young girl! They are both at different stages in their life! Goldie is full of excitement and always ready for fun! Currently fostered in the Okeechobee area.. This lil gal is ready for an active home and a friendly playful dog. Fenced yard is a plus, due to her activity level. Housetrained, working on leash skills, and crate training. Snuggler for sure, but please note this gal is suited to hiking, running partner and perhaps even dog sports. NOT just a lap dog

Story
Fluffy is a 9 yr old long hair chihuahua, who is quiet friendly and missing her person who had some long standing medical issues. She is doing great in the home! Walks okay on lead, could use more of it, housetrained and pad trained. Crate trained too!. Gets along with other dogs and will need another pup for company, not necessarily for play. She allows grooming, comes to you for petting and follows you about the house. She loves to be outdoors and lie in the sun. She is wary of new people so dont expect her to jump in their laps and snuggle, but she will warm up. She has been cleared by a vet to be without issues, has recently had a dental and is ready to go to her forever home!!! She will need grooming due to her coat length. Currently fostered in Bradenton.

Story
Duchess is a 4 yr old long hair chi. She came to rescue because her owner passed away. She is very shy and will need time to acclimate to new surroundings. New intake, assessment and eval will be posted as she unfolds. She is hw negative, vacs are up to date and she is spayed and chipped. Where Duchess is being fostered overwhelmed at this time with the other 10 dogs in the home. She has been outside on lead, and will need leash breaking. She is house broken and pad trained. She would do well wtih one other quiet smaller dog or no other dog. She is not affectionate at this time because she is shy. you can pick her up and pet her in your lap, but she is not comfortable yet with all that. I have had her loose in my home, she does not really interact with other dogs. She most likely would not interact with cats either. She keeps to herself. Is able to eat while someone is watching her so that is an improvement. She will need a quiet home, a very patient person who will aloow her to bloom at her own pace. I would recommend a fenced yard and another dog in the home. Retired would be great. Fostered in Bradenton.

Story
Hen is a lovely girl that was in a confiscation situation. We have had her in the rescue for a year!!! She has come a LONG way and is doing great!!! She LOVES other dogs, plays well with them and once she knows you she is super affectionate. I think she will always have a cautious streak in her, from her past, but she is brave and manages to overcome her blocks!! It took us three months for her to come out of her crate and come willingly to us. Now once she knows you she wants to be with you all the time! She still is not wild about being picked up, but she does tolerate it. Totally housebroke, crate trained and yes we are still working on the leash. But it is only going forward. She is a funny girl. Loves to play with toys, and does zoomies in the yard. Rides well in the car in the front seat. She tolerates the vet and just goes limp in situations she is uncomfortable in. With more exposure, socialization and group classes she will only improve. She is a project dog, but will give you her whole heart and soul. Will eventually make a great companion dog, right now she prefers the comfort of her home environ, with added dashes of the new world! Will need a fenced yard, and most importantly another kind playful dog to hang with and be her best friend! Fostered in Bradenton. Will need an adopter or anotehr long term foster who has knowledge of dog behaviour, and lots of patience and love.. This girl only wants to please, and with your help can conquer all those past fears. Make her future a safe and beautiful place!!!

Story
This lil 14 pd chi mix came from a hoarding situation on the east coast of Florida. She is unsocialized, needs a quiet home, is not aggressive to people. She just needs time. We just got her so allowing for decompression is very important. Right now an airline crate is her safe space. She has made no attempt to bite just wants to be as small as possible. Fostered in Bradenton. Someone who has experience with hoarding dogs, fearful dogs will be good for this girl. Must have a fenced yard, and another calm dog, not in your face type of dog. We have made some progress 3/7!! Brown is taking food from my hand and will approach you for more!!! She is intimidated by other dogs that are in her face and will stay on the outer circle. Once you have her alone she will approach and take food and actually allow petting. She needs a lot more one on one. She has a habit of spinning in the crate when being fed. Not so concerned about that, it should go away in time. it does not prevent her from eating and she has a good appetite!! Brown needs a very patient foster maybe one other dog. She does crate well prefers an airline crate, She is housebroken and uses a dog door! She needs to learn to walk on lead, get used to being touched, and to trust people. She is a special needs and a project dog. I know there are not many of you out there, but inside this lil gal is a gem of a dog once you win her over. Currently fostered in Bradenton.

Story
Belle is a very loving dog. She loves to please and is praise driven. Unfortunately, Belle does have some ongoing behaviors that I do not have the ability to break her of. She is house trained , however with long hours away from her humans she does tend to have accidents. She is also very food obsessive. She will take the food of other animals in the house. Belle is good with other small dogs, cats and kids but a little shy at first. I believe she needs a place where she can be the only pet, and get attention all day long.
