Story
Manny - The Nap-Loving, Lap-Sitting, People-Pleasing Chihuahua Mix Meet Manny, a one-and-a-half-year-old male chihuahua mix with the most adorable quirks and the biggest heart. Manny may be small, weighing only 14 pounds, but he has a big personality and an even bigger love for people! Manny's affectionate nature is one of his special traits. He is constantly by your side, always wanting to be your loyal and loving companion. And don't be surprised if he follows you around, curious to explore every nook and cranny of his new home. He especially loves to sniff around and investigate every tree, shrub, and blade of grass he comes across. But don't let his small size fool you - Manny is an active and playful boy. After a good round of playtime, he loves to crash on the nearest warm lap or comfortable spot. He will even fall asleep sitting up because he doesn't want to miss out on any cuddles or belly rubs. Manny was part of a bonded pair but the more his confidence has grown, the more it’s clear he will thrive in a loving home on his own with other dogs to play with. He also gets along great with cats. We are looking for a loving home where Manny can get all the love and attention he deserves. A home where someone is able to spend time with him and give all the cuddles and belly rubs he could ever want. Manny is extroverted and a people-pleaser, so he will thrive in a home where he can be a constant companion and soak up all the love and affection. The 411 on Manny Good with Dogs & Cats — Manny does well with other dogs including our 12-year-old beagle. He’s doesn’t seem interested in the cat but that might be because the cat is bigger than him. We recommend at least one other dog in the home to keep Manny engaged and active. The world’s best snuggler — Manny watches and waits for you to sit down and immediately will be in your lap for pets, scratches and belly rubs. He could stay there all day. Crate & House Trained — Manny is fully crate trained and house trained and expects to sleep in his crate at night as well as when you’re gone. When he first arrived to his foster’s house, he wasn’t house broken and wore belly bands but hasn’t had any accidents in the house in a while. (Note: he has access to a doggy door and a large fenced yard so he can go out whenever he wants.) Food motivated — Manny is definitely food motivated but there have been no signs of food aggression. We don’t think he has any food allergies and eats his kibble with gusto. Commands — Manny has finally mastered sit and is working on ‘off’ and ‘stay’ but his stubbornness sometimes gets the best of him. Car rides – Manny gets carsick so he should always be crated when traveling. How Manny will thrive: A Safe & Loving Home — Manny’s confidence has grown so much since he’s been in a safe and loving home. Safety and security go a long way. He thrives when he feels secure and protected. Stimulation and play time – He will do best with someone that can engage him in play and shower him with lots of attention (at least until he nicely tells you he’s done) otherwise he may turn to chewing things he shouldn’t. Adoption fee includes: first 2 DAPP, bordetella, deworming, flea preventative, sterilized, heartworm test, microchip Adoption fee: $525.00   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Looking for a furry tornado who will brighten up your life and fill your days with love and laughter? Say hello to Tiny Tim (Tiny for short). He is an 8lb bundle of energy, an absolutely adorable and spirited long haired Chihuahua mix who gives off big dog energy in the cutest way. He loves to announce his arrival, or anyone else’s, with a bark built for a dog 3 times his size. With his long, fluffy cinnamon sugar coat, he may look like a sweet treat, but he's a brave and curious explorer at heart. So, if you're looking for a dog who will accompany you on all your adventures, Tiny is the perfect match. But don't worry, once you’re back from adventuring, he’ll be ready for some snuggles and pets. Tiny will melt your heart with his smile and then use that smile to make you forget he chewed your shoe. He loves his toys but also loves to chew other things, so if you don’t want to lose your favorite sweater or the remote, keep them put away. Some things to know about Tiny: Do not let his size fool you! He brings BIG energy and BIG personality to everything he does! In true Chihuahua fashion, Tiny is sweet, sassy, smart and absolutely thinks he’s the boss in the “best boss ever” kind of way. Originally, Tiny was part of a bonded pair but the more his confidence has grown, the more it’s clear he will thrive in a loving home with other dogs to play with. We’ve found that if he’s left unattended for too long, he will start to chew on things he shouldn’t so he should be crated when you’re not home or not able to keep an eye on him. The 411 on Tiny: Good with Dogs & Cats — Tiny does well with other dogs including our 12-year-old beagle. He’s more interested in the cat box than the cat though so beware. Although he pretty much ignores the cat; at meal time he will boisterously defend the chef making his dinner just in case the cat tries to have a go for it. We recommend at least one other dog in the home to keep Tiny engaged and active. Independent but great snuggler — Tiny naps all around the house but when you’re lucky enough to have him curl up in your lap there is nothing better. He has the biggest little snore that’s so cute but it won’t keep you up at night.   Crate & House Trained — Tiny is fully crate trained and house trained and expects to sleep in his crate at night as well as when you’re gone. When he first arrived to his foster’s house, he wasn’t house broken and wore belly bands but hasn’t had any accidents in the house in a while. (Note: he has access to a doggy door and a large fenced yard so he can go out whenever he wants.) Food motivated — Tiny is definitely food motivated but there have been no signs of food aggression. We don’t think he has any food allergies and eats his kibble like he’s trying to win a pie eating contest. Commands — Tiny has finally mastered sit and is working on ‘off’ and ‘stay’ but his stubbornness sometimes gets the best of him. Remember! Tiny is a chewer so keep clothes, shoes and accessories picked up and put away. If you leave them out, he will find them, drag them around and give your sneakers a custom look. His foster has found her shoes out in the yard many times so she’s still learning the lesson we’re warning you about. Car rides – Tiny gets carsick so he should always be crated when traveling. How Tiny will thrive: A Safe & Loving Home — Tiny’s confidence has grown so much since he’s been in a safe and loving home. Safety and security go a long way. He thrives when he feels secure and protected. Stimulation and play time – He will do best with someone that can engage him in play and shower him with lots of attention (at least until he nicely tells you he’s done) otherwise he may turn to chewing things he shouldn’t. Brother Manny is also available Adoption fee: $525  includes first 2 DAPP, bordetella, sterilized, heartworm test, dewormed, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Meet Annie! Say hello to Annie, a absolutely adorable and spirited Chihuahua who is a whirlwind of personality, charm and sweetness all wrapped up in one perfectly tiny and completely irresistible little package! This sweet girl is looking for a loving home with a good routine where she can feel completely safe and be the very best friend you have ever had! A Little About Annie: Do not let her small size fool you for even one second — Annie brings BIG energy, BIG personality and an even BIGGER heart to everything she does! She is sweet, sassy, smart and absolutely full of life in the most wonderful and entertaining way possible. Annie's Highlights: Good with Small Dogs & Cats — Annie does well with other small dogs and cats making her a great fit for a multi pet household. She does get a little nervous around large dogs so a home without big canine companions would suit her best ️ Champion Lap Dog — When Annie is done conquering the world she will climb right into your lap, curl up and fall into the most peaceful and gloriously snory sleep you have ever witnessed. Yes she snores. Yes it is the cutest thing you have ever heard in your life Crate & House Trained — Annie is fully crate trained and house trained and actually sleeps in her kennel at night like the perfectly routine oriented girl she is Certified Foodie — Annie is a treat lover of the highest order and will do just about anything for a good snack. Food motivated? Absolutely and completely Knows Her Commands — This smart little cookie knows her basic commands including sit and stay proving that great things absolutely do come in small packages Fair Warning About the Wardrobe — Annie's daily vigorous energy means that all clothes, shoes and accessories need to be picked up and put away. If you leave them out Annie will absolutely find them, drag them around and then look you dead in the eyes while daring you to try and get them back. Consider yourself lovingly warned! Annie's Leash Journey — A Success Story! Annie loves her walks so much that she used to overplay and overexert herself, sometimes getting the wind knocked right out of her when she hit the end of the retractable leash at full speed. But here is where Annie's story gets really amazing — Her incredibly dedicated foster mom taught Annie to come when she calls her name and this one brilliant trick has changed absolutely everything! Instead of racing to the end of the leash Annie now turns it into a fun and interactive game — responding with 100% perfection every single time. This is a newer trick but Annie has completely and totally mastered it and it has made a world of difference in her quality of play and her overall happiness and wellbeing. Annie's Golden Hour: Here is a little insider tip for getting the very best of Annie — After her post lunch nap is when this girl is absolutely and completely at her finest! This is when Annie: Distributes an abundance of kisses freely and generously Receives quality scratches with pure and total bliss ✨ Is the sweetest and most loving version of herself A little note about the scratches — Annie does have a limit on how many she will accept before she politely but firmly reminds you that you have exceeded your quota. But the good news is you can absolutely get MANY wonderful scratches in before that moment arrives so scratch away! What Annie Needs: A Safe & Loving Home — Annie thrives when she feels secure and protected A Good Routine — This girl does her absolute best when her days have structure and predictability Small Dog or Cat Friendly Home — No large dogs please! A Best Friend — Because that is exactly and completely what Annie will be to the right person Annie is a sweet, smart, sassy and completely loveable little girl who has so much to offer the right home. She will make you laugh every single day, keep you on your toes, snore peacefully in your lap and love you with her whole tiny and enormous heart. She is not just looking for a home. She is looking for her person — someone who will give her the routine, the safety and the love she deserves so she can be exactly what she was always meant to be. Your absolute very best friend in the whole wide world.
