Meet Waldorf! Our newest H.E.L.P. dog is the sweetest little muppet ever! We pulled Waldorf from the overcrowded shelter because a shelter is no place for a little senior. Waldorf is weak in his hind quarters and though he has no use at all of his right rear leg, he can hop around on three legs. We are exploring options available to give him the best quality of life, including physical therapy. Waldorf has been fully vetted including blood work and x-rays. Waldorf is one of the happiest dogs we’ve ever met. He’s a total love bug with an endless supply of kisses. He loves everyone he meets and melts into your lap for snuggles and kisses. Waldorf is house trained and will bark to let you know that he needs to go out. Waldorf is neutered, up to date on shots, fully vetted, and microchipped. Meet Pearl! Pearl is the sweetest, most endearing little dog whose little tail is always wagging. She's approximately 12-years old, and a little under 9-lbs. Pearl is mostly blind but she gets around great and will follow you around wagging her tail. She’s often on-the-go and loves to be out-and-about; the rest of the time she relishes laps and naps. Pearl loves attention and being pet and loves to be next to you. She gets along great with other dogs and children. Pearl has had a full senior work up including x-rays, and she had surgery to remove the largest inguinal hernia we have ever seen. She has also had a dental. Hello leon is a sweet boy that was no longer wanted at his house Couse they had a baby and 2 other kids and was to much but h was in bad condition full of flees under weight and no vaccines and no fur in his legs :( I took him right away and took him to the vet and stated treatment and he’s doing great no more flees or parasites vaccines up to date and his fur is growing back ! He’s perfect weight 6 pounds and he’s fully potty trained ! He’s so smart only took me a week to transition from pre pads to going outside ! He’s very active loves to play and attention . He’s afraid of new people and takes a bit to warm up but when he does all he wants is luv! He’s not aggressive but he does bark and he luvs walks but need to be trained to be calm seeing other dogs and people ! I can’t keep him since I travel a lot and just lost my 17 old dog so I want to find him a great home he would love a yard and he likes kids I saw him play at his old house

STRAY HOLD UNTIL 09/14/2023 A photo with a stray hold banner is public and posted in a desire to reunite a pet with its rightful owner. Our stray hold is lifted after 14 days. The animals are not available to be met or considered for adoption until the whole stray hold time is honored. An "off stray hold" date will be posted for all animals on a stray hold and at that time can be considered for adoption. We appreciate your patience and understanding on our procedures and protocols. I'm COH Jeff, a 5 year old male Pomeranian and Papillion Mix from Hawthorne. Despite my small size, I'm full of life and enthusiasm. I'm on the lookout for a forever family that can appreciate my big heart. If you're seeking a little buddy, will you be the one to welcome me into your loving home and be part of my story? Come by and meet me and all my other friends at Lovejoy and see if we have a connection. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications.
