🐶 Meet Jimmy Chew! 🐶 (Yes… he will absolutely try to chew your shoes. Consider yourself warned.) Breed: Pomchi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix) Age: 3 years Sex: Male (neutered) Weight: 7 lbs Say hello to Jimmy Chew, the tiny fluff-powered comedian who’s ready to steal your heart — and possibly your favorite sneaker. He’s house trained, vaccinated, and gets along with other dogs so well that he basically considers himself the social director of the dog park. He can play by himself… but he’ll absolutely judge you if you don’t let him hang with his doggie squad. 😁 Jimmy’s curious nature keeps life interesting: one minute he’s exploring the yard like a tiny adventurer, the next he’s showing off his big-dog personality in a very small-dog body. And when he’s done? He’ll curl up for a nap like he just ran a marathon (he did not). If you’re looking for a loving, loyal little sidekick who brings laughs, love, and light shoe damage, Jimmy Chew is your guy. 💛 📍 Available for adoption now! www.DMDR.org/adopt 🐾 Also goes by “Little Two.” (Long story. He’ll tell you.) 😁

Story
Meet Eugene!Eugene is a 11-year-old, 12-pound Pomeranian mix with a heart full of love and energy to spare! Don't let his age fool you - this little guy is always ready for adventure, especially if it involves a fast-paced walk or a car ride (his absolute favorite!).Eugene thrives on human companionship and wants to be by your side as much as possible. He gets along well with other dogs, though he has a preference for hanging out with female dogs. He would love a home with an owner who is committed to continuous training - he loves to be challenged and learn new things! Eugene secretly aspires to be an agility champion, so if you have an agility course or some fun challenges for him, he will be in doggy heaven. He is also fine with cats and older children.Though he may be a little shy when meeting new people, he quickly warms up with some affection. Once he's comfortable, you'll see his playful side shine - he'll even grab his leash in excitement for a walk! Eugene would do best with an active human who will take him on adventures - he might just be your new hiking companion! While he loves being near his human, Eugene is also okay being left alone once he's settled into your routine - no separation anxiety here! At night, he's happy to curl up and snooze peacefully.Eugene is house-trained, recently had a dental, and has a clean bill of health. With THE most adorable underbite, he is sure to steal your heart. If you are looking for a devoted, cuddly, and energetic companion, Eugene is your guy!Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org

Story
Looking for a pup who’s equal parts silly, snuggly, and totally unforgettable? Bear is your guy! He may look like a dignified little senior, but don’t be fooled—this bouncy ball of fur is still a “senior in training” with plenty of pep in his step.He loves to prance around like the star of his own parade, making sure everyone notices just how cute he is. Attention? He demands it. Love and cuddles? He gives them right back, with interest. When he’s not busy charming humans, you’ll find him entertaining himself with toys or channeling his inner cat—perched on the back of the couch for a cozy nap with the best view in the house. And of course, every true character has quirks: Bear insists on only dining and drinking from plastic bowls—no exceptions, please! This little guy is the perfect mix of independence and affection, and he’s ready to bring his prancing paws, quirky habits, and endless love to a forever home. 💕Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org

Story
Meet Kona Cabernet! Adorable 10-year-old Kona Cabernet came to us from Corona Shelter, where he had been surrendered by his owner for unknown reasons. Kona is a sweet, friendly guy who enjoys being petted once he is comfortable with someone and then gives gentle little kisses. Kona went out to dinner at a local brewery and even enjoyed live music. He also joined volunteers and other Frosted Faces at our Halloween fundraiser event at SUP Pups in San Diego where he went paddle boarding! Kona is currently on an extended Frosted Fling, giving us the chance to see what he’s like in a home environment while he enjoys the comfort of being part of a family again. His Fling Mom reports: "Kona has been with us for three weeks, and he’s made wonderful progress every single day. When Kona first arrived, he was very cautious and needed time to trust us and feel safe. With patience and gentle reassurance, he’s started to open up, and once he feels comfortable, his personality shines through. We lovingly call him our “spicy Pom Pom.” We can tell that he wants affection and love from us, but know that it needs to be given at his pace. At first, Kona was nervous about being picked up or petted, but now he allows both with no problem; however, he's not a fan of being held for long periods. He enjoys being petted and will sometimes paw at you for more, especially during belly rubs! Kona does well during bath time. He is nervous of the water, but handles it well — especially if there are treats. He did well with the groomer, too; however, he did indicate once that he needed some space. He’s eating well and enjoys his breakfast and dinner, though he sometimes gets distracted and needs a little reminder to finish. He also loves his treats! Kona is an early riser — usually up between 6:30–7:30 a.m. for a quick trip outside before heading back to bed. Kona does well on walks and doesn’t react to other dogs barking. Just keep in mind the length of the walk, as his back legs can get tired. He does okay in the car, though he prefers his own space and doesn’t like sitting too close to our dogs. Overall, he does well with our dogs; however, there are times when he will let them know to give him some space, especially when he's resting. Still, Kona has shown playful interest in one of our dogs (though she hasn’t quite joined in yet). Sometimes he even gets the zoomies and will chase after us, wanting to play—it’s adorable! He especially enjoys playing fetch with a lint dryer ball. Kona is a gentle, resilient little dog who just needs patience, love, and understanding. Once he knows he’s safe, he blossoms into a sweet, funny companion with plenty of personality. He’s looking for a calm, caring home where he can continue to grow in confidence and comfort — because this spicy Pom Pom has so much love to give." Story
🐾 Meet Perry — Your Little Shadow of Joy! 🐾 Perry is a 2-year-old, 8-pound bundle of love who is the sweetest, most lovable cuddlebug you’ll ever meet. If you’ve been wishing for a pup who melts into your lap for naps and snuggles beside you at night, Perry is your girl! She’s affectionate, playful, and full of personality—an easy little companion who just wants to love and be loved. This darling girl adores playtime and gets along well with other dogs, especially ones who like to romp around with her. She’s currently living with an older dog who isn’t interested in playing, so she would absolutely love a doggy friend who matches her playful energy. She’s also a toy lover—anything squeaky or fun is her favorite! Perry hasn’t lived with kids full-time, but she spent a week with a foster who had a 5-year-old son, and she played with him nonstop with zero issues. Gentle, sweet, and social—she’s a natural family dog. 🏡 Potty Training: Perry is partly potty trained. She reliably uses a pee pad in the bathroom, but she does think rugs are potty pads, so homes with minimal rugs are ideal while she continues learning. With consistent potty breaks outside throughout the day, she does great and won’t use the pad at all. 🩺 Medical Notes: Perry came to us with a previously broken leg, but thanks to stem cell therapy, it’s healed beautifully! She’s still building confidence and strength using it 100%, so a patient adopter will help her finish that journey. She should stay on daily joint supplements, and she’s very easygoing when it comes to taking medication. 🌟 The Perry Effect: Wherever Perry goes, people stop to meet her—she’s just that adorable. Her sweet face and loving nature make her irresistible. If you’re looking for a snuggly best friend who will fill your days with laughter, love, and cute moments, Perry is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart. 💕🐶
