Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)       Name: Aria Gender: Female Age: 7 months Weight: 9 pounds Vaccinated: Yes Spayed: Yes House trained: Just about Aria was rescued when she was incredibly tiny, after being thrown into a trash bin. One of our flight volunteers stepped in to foster her and give her a chance at life. From the very beginning, she explained she could not adopt Aria due to a severe medical condition, but still chose to help her anyway. All she asked was that we umbrella Aria and make sure her efforts were not in vain, and that this little puppy would one day find a loving home. Now, Aria’s foster mom and foster auntie must travel to Newark for personal reasons, and they are able to bring Aria with them. Aria walks nicely on leash. She can be a little shy in new environments, but warms up quickly once she feels safe. She appears to be house trained, though she is still young and may need a bit of patience while adjusting to a new home. The good news is that she learns very fast. Aria is a small puppy with a big second chance, now simply waiting for her forever family       All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Meet Anna!In the wise words of Agnes from Despicable Me, "It's so fluffy, I'm going to DIE!"Anna is exactly 2 years and 7 months old and weighs exactly 12.3lbs. 90% of that is fluff. She is made of cotton candy, teddy bear stuffing, and clouds. Anna has lived a sheltered life. She is very much not housebroken. She has no idea how to walk on a leash. We've thankfully progressed past the "alligator death roll and then stubborn pancake" stage but now we're in the "I'm going to velcro myself to you and get under your feet constantly" stage. Progress is progress so we'll take it.She's a sweet little cream puff but can be shy at first because everything is new and overwhelming but it doesn't take her long at all to warm up to new people. Once she does warm up, she's a lap snuggler. She's clingier than your ex. She'll go off on her own to investigate for, like, two minutes and then she's right back to having to be touching you at all times. She doesn't know any cues/commands or, at least, doesn't feel like showing off for us. She's intrigued by squeaky toys but doesn't really know what to do with them. Anna does very well with other dogs and it's the only time we've seen her actually act like a dog. She also does well with cats despite probably having no idea what they are. We would prefer kids 12+ just because she's such a nervous girl at first and is still learning about the world and we don't want to overwhelm her with the chaos some kids can bring. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Story
Pippin’s story began as an unexpected adventure. He and his brother, Samwise, were found wandering together as strays, two young explorers trying to figure out the world. Thankfully their journey led them to safety, and now Pippin is ready to find the forever home where his real story begins. True to his name, Pippin is full of curiosity, enthusiasm, and just a little bit of joyful mischief. He’s the kind of dog who greets every day like it’s the start of a grand quest. Whether he’s playing with another dog, chasing a toy across the yard, or bouncing around with happy puppy energy, Pippin brings fun and laughter wherever he goes. Pippin is a young dog who is still learning the ropes, but he is eager to please and loves being part of whatever his people are doing. He does great with other dogs and would enjoy a home with a canine friend to play with. He is crate trained and doing well with his basic manners, and with a little patience and guidance he will grow into a wonderful, loyal companion. Like the hobbit he’s named after, Pippin may start off a little silly and adventurous, but he has a big heart and a deep capacity for loyalty. All he needs now is a family willing to take that journey with him. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring joy, personality, and a little adventure into your life, Pippin might be the perfect match. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
