Story
Meet Hazel! Through no fault of her own, this beautiful 6-year-old Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky) named Hazel is looking for a loving forever home. She weighs 26 pounds, is spayed, housebroken and has a sweet, affectionate personality that quickly wins people over. She gets along well with other dogs, but her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Hazel loves being around people and thrives on companionship. She has a gentle, friendly nature that makes her a joy to have around. Smart and playful, Hazel enjoys spending time with her family and soaking up affection from the people she trusts. Whether she's relaxing by your side or enjoying a little playtime, Hazel is happiest when she's with her people. Hazel does have some special medical needs due to a history of kidney stones. To help keep her healthy, she requires constant access to fresh water, a specialized veterinarian-recommended diet with specific dietary restrictions, and regular veterinary checkups to monitor her condition and reduce the risk of future kidney stone formation. Despite these health considerations, Hazel is a happy, loving dog who enjoys life and has so much love to give. She is looking for a dedicated owner who can provide the care, attention, and commitment she deserves in return for years of loyal companionship. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate furry friend and are prepared to meet her medical needs, Hazel could be the perfect addition to your family! If  you would like to consider making Hazel a part of your life, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention what city and state that you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and are able to reach homes and adopters in 12 other northeastern states north of Tennessee.      PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 17, 2026, 4:38 pm

Story
Bear is a 12 yr old senior. This cute little old man is blind in one eye and wears a doggie diaper for a little urinary incontinence. He’s independent and will let you know when he's hungry, wants held, or he wants in the bed by giving you a little bark. He loves to spend the day sleeping and likes staying close to his person. Bear walks well on the leash and rides great in the car. He gets along with other dogs as long as they aren’t bouncing in his face- no on appreciates a rude dog friend. He is also kitty approved Bear is looking for a home where he can spend his retirement days being loved and happy. If you think you might be a good fit, we'd love to hear from you. Bear is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested neg for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Mr. Possum, an older adult (approx. 10 years old) male Pomeranian weighing about 6 lbs!  Mr. Possum is too old to neuter and doesn't have many if any teeth but he is the sweetest boy! Mr. Possum is in CT and available for a meeting and a foster to adopt trial. We are accepting applications on him now! His foster said, "Mr. Possum looks at you with pure love and devotion! He is really a sweetheart!" Mr. Possum is medically up to date, housebroken (uses a belly band), and crate trained. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2752489##
