Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Marty! Marty is approximately 6 months old, 16 lbs and he is a Mutt! He was found as a stray. In his foster home, he is working hard on house training, crate training, and leash walking. He could join households with kids 10+, and other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats. His foster says, `Marty is an adorable boy. He absolutely loves affection and is so excited when I walk in the room. He just can`t get enough loving. He`s doing great with house training, only a few accidents, and is getting some crate time and working on leash so he will be ready for his new family. He loves to play with toys and chase balls. It`s so entertaining to watch him bark at his food bowl when it`s empty and paw at it trying to turn it over and over. Marty will bring a lot of joy to his new family.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on August 14 or possibly earlier. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Experienced Foster Home Needed 🐾 Bentley (formerly Bradley) is a Yorkie/Pomeranian mix, about 7 and a half months old, and is in need of a foster or foster to adopt home. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. Bentley needs a home with someone who has experience (and patience!) with dogs that have not received the proper care and socialization that they should have and is willing and able to help and support Bentley in learning basic things like housetraining and that the world can be a safe and fun place. Bentley has lived with several other dogs and a cat and we think he would benefit from having a dog friend of comparable size (approx. 20 to 30lbs, give or take) We will provide support and guidance to help this kiddo adjust and thrive.

Story
Junior is a male Yorkie/Pomeranian mix, about 7 months old, and is looking for foster or foster to adopt home, where he can receive support and help with housetraining and learning that the world can be a safe and fun place. This cutie was recently surrendered to the animal shelter, along with his brother Bradley, as their owner is no longer able to care for them. Junior is neutered and current on vaccinations. Bradley and his brother Junior get along, although they do have their moments of when they both want the same toy. They do not have to be fostered or adopted together. However, we would like them to go to homes with other dogs of comparable sizes (approx. 20 to 30lbs, give or take) as we feel they would benefit from a friend to help them gain confidence and adjust to their new lives. Junior lived with a cat in his previous home but has not lived with or been around young children and we don't necessarily think he's ready for a home with young children, as he is still a bit shy and timid at times. We will provide support and guidance to help these kiddos adjust and thrive.

Adoption Donation  $ 599 Located: RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx    3  years old Weight:  17 lbs. Bear is a social happy guy who is crate and leash trained. Older kids would be better for this active fella! Very friendly.  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website    www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  julieanncimino@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Meet Hazel! Through no fault of her own, this beautiful 6-year-old Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky) named Hazel is looking for a loving forever home. She weighs 26 pounds, is spayed, housebroken and has a sweet, affectionate personality that quickly wins people over. She gets along well with other dogs, but her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Hazel loves being around people and thrives on companionship. She has a gentle, friendly nature that makes her a joy to have around. Smart and playful, Hazel enjoys spending time with her family and soaking up affection from the people she trusts. Whether she's relaxing by your side or enjoying a little playtime, Hazel is happiest when she's with her people. Hazel does have some special medical needs due to a history of kidney stones. To help keep her healthy, she requires constant access to fresh water, a specialized veterinarian-recommended diet with specific dietary restrictions, and regular veterinary checkups to monitor her condition and reduce the risk of future kidney stone formation. Despite these health considerations, Hazel is a happy, loving dog who enjoys life and has so much love to give. She is looking for a dedicated owner who can provide the care, attention, and commitment she deserves in return for years of loyal companionship. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate furry friend and are prepared to meet her medical needs, Hazel could be the perfect addition to your family! If  you would like to consider making Hazel a part of your life, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention what city and state that you live.  We transport from Nashville, TN where we are based and are able to reach homes and adopters in 12 other northeastern states north of Tennessee.      PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 10, 2026, 2:51 pm
