Story
Artie came from a litter of puppies that came from a deceased family members Pomeranian. So have had him since birth. He does not get the attention he deserves due to crazy life schedule. He deserves his person. He is a gentle and loving boy. Great with kids and other dogs, big and small. Never got on schedule to be potty trained but that is probably easily corrected with a schedule and some attention. Has always had vet care and grooming, but easily bathed by owner. This one is a Lover not a fighter. Shy at first but warms up and eager for attention. Does well in vehicles. Just want this baby to have someone to love and have time to give him snuggles and let him give his kisses to. Artie is 5 yrs young. Mom is still healthy( she is only 6 lbs)and was taken in by another family member. Dad was ?? But Artie exudes the Pom look. Please give this boy a home with lots of love and attention.

Story
Meet Lobo — a little wolf who will sing with you. Lobo’s name means wolf, and he takes it just seriously enough to howl back if you start the chorus. At 6 years old and about 12 pounds, this Pomeranian mix is more cozy companion than alpha — but his loyalty and gentle nature are very wolf-like. Lobo is a timid but incredibly sweet boy who does best in calm environments and with patient people. He can be shy at first, but once he feels safe, his quiet affection shines. He is house trained, dog friendly, and great on a leash. Lobo truly enjoys going for walks, where he can take in the world at his own pace. While he does well around other dogs, he’s perfectly capable of being the only dog in the home and doesn’t rely on canine companionship to feel secure. Lobo can become anxious when left alone, so he would thrive in a home where someone is around often, works from home, or keeps a predictable routine. Because of his age and sensitive nature, he would do best in a quiet home without small children, where life is gentle and unhurried. ADOPTION PROCESS 1. She’s a sweet old lady, very cuddly. Unfortunately not able to take care of her due to my needs, not necessarily hers. She still has a lot of kick, I wouldn’t say she acts like a senior except for the naps. Ha ha

Story
Hi my names ny! Over a year ago i took in a medium sized dog named Dakota for a family friend. What supposed to be short term ended up being long term lol. Dakota is a medium sized yorkie / pom who’s primarily black ( with a white and gray beard and belly.) Hes great with kids and other animals, and very territorial if he creates a bond with you. he is very loving , playful and enjoys walks. However he can be a bit of a handful due to slight behavioral problems. He has an attachment issue, he freaks out if he isleft unattended and if left in a cage he will ABSOLUTELY attempt to find a way to escape. It is unclear if his previous owners properly house trained him, so I was having issues with him randomly using the bathroom in house. With school and work there is just not enough time in my day to fully give him the attention he needs , which is why i want him to go to a good home.

Story
Meet Birdie – Senior Pomeranian, 10 Years Old and Approximately 10lbs Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email info@seniordoghaven.org. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/. Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance from Mays Landing, New Jersey for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Birdie is a gentle, shy senior Pomeranian who is looking for a calm, patient forever home. She originally came to us from a difficult situation and made wonderful progress in her foster home. Birdie was recently adopted, but due to unexpected changes in her adopter’s life, she has returned to foster care through no fault of her own. Birdie gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats. She relies on the presence of another dog for comfort, so a home with at least one friendly, calm dog is required. She is a quiet, reserved girl who watches everything around her with curiosity, and with time and kindness she continues to build confidence. She is pee pad trained and still working on full housetraining. Birdie is hard of hearing (possibly deaf), but her vision is good, she tolerates grooming well, and she is in overall good health. What is great about Birdie, is she only needed a cleaning at the vet! Birdie would do best in a home that: • Is calm and predictable • Has small-dog or Pomeranian experience • Has at least one other dog to help her feel safe • Can provide patience, gentle guidance, and one-on-one attention • Understands that she needs time to trust new people Birdie doesn’t need much — just a loving adopter who will let her settle in at her own pace and give her the safe, peaceful life she’s always deserved. If you’re ready to give Birdie her true forever home, she is ready to meet you.

Story
Meet Mi’jo — a tiny senior gentleman with a heart full of love. Mi’jo is a 10-year-old, 12-pound sweetheart who embodies everything wonderful about senior dogs: calm, gentle, affectionate, and endlessly grateful for every moment with his people. He’s housetrained, crate trained, and has the sweetest, softest presence in the home. Mi’jo enjoys the simple joys of life—slow strolls, sniffing around the yard, cozy naps, and treats (he LOVES treats!). Despite having typical senior-dog challenges like dim vision, some arthritis, and spondylosis, he’s still active, comfortable, and happily engaged in his daily routines. He currently lives with several other dogs and gets along beautifully with everyone, but due to his small size and gentle nature, Mi’jo would do best in a quiet home without rambunctious dogs or small children. He also isn’t suited for homes with lots of stairs unless they can be securely blocked off. Mi’jo is a quiet little man, though he does enjoy gently reminding the Amazon driver that he’s still on duty as a loyal protector. Most of the time, though, you’ll find him cuddled up on the couch, snoozing peacefully. This sweet boy has been fully vetted, including labwork, a dental cleaning, and a thorough exam. He had very poor teeth and required 16 extractions, so he now eats soft food (or Fresh Pet) and enjoys soft treats—Pill Pockets are his favorite! He takes a daily NSAID to keep him comfortable and feeling good. Mi’jo is looking for a calm, loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by warmth, safety, and gentle companionship. Could your heart and couch be the perfect place for him? Email info@joyrides.org to request an application. Mi'jo is being fostered in Jersey City, NJ and is available for adoption locally or in the NE. We can usually find a volunteer to meet you halfway!
