Because of her fear of asphalt or concrete sidewalks and her energetic nature, a fenced yard is required so she can safely run, play, and build confidence. Plus, she LOVES playing fetch and has had a blast running after a ball in the yard at her foster home! Bonus points if you have a ball throwing machine! She gets along beautifully with the small dogs in her foster home and would benefit from a friendly, patient dog sibling to show her the ropes, though she could be an only dog with the right adopter. Her play style is submissive and easygoing, and she’s learning important manners like taking treats only when her name is called and respecting boundaries. She’s working on sit, come, drop it, and leave it, and she’ll even use a pee pad inside if she isn’t let out. Belle is timid with new people and would do best in a home without small children who may make sudden moves and scare her, both because of her size and her shy nature.
