Story
Miracle is a cuddly, sweet girl who just wants head scratchies and pets. She loves laying out in the sun. Once she warms up, she'll come right over and sit close by, or sit near her person, just looking for gentle love! Miracle seems to have been somewhat neglected in her prior home, so we feel she'd do best in a home with a person who understands seniors, and just give her a comfy spot to live out her years! Miracle currently lives with 3 foster siblings, and is fine with them, but does not play with them, she'd much rather be snuggled up on the couch! Story
Meet Sierra — a 7-year-old Pomsky princess with a snow-white coat, dazzling blue eyes, and runway-worthy strut that says, “Yes, I am the main character.” Weighing in at approx 35 pounds plus of fluff and fabulousness, Sierra walks through the shelter like she’s competing at Westminster and fully expects the judges to hand her Best in Show. Honestly? We get it.Sierra’s story started with heartbreak after being abandoned by her owner, so her past is a bit of a mystery. But what we do know is that this girl is an absolute gem. She keeps her kennel clean, handles shelter life with grace, and seems completely unbothered by the hustle and bustle of the other dogs around her.She has a medium energy level, meaning she’s down for a nice walk, a little exploring, and then happily settling in for cuddle time and beauty rest. Her gorgeous fluffy coat will need regular brushing and grooming to keep her looking as fabulous as she knows she is.Sierra is searching for the simple things in life: love, stability, belly rubs, and a forever home where she can finally relax and be cherished the way she deserves. Compatibility with dogs, and children is currently unknown, but she’s been calm around the other shelter dogs. But NO cats please.Sierra will be available through our foster-to-adopt program, which means you can welcome her home while she completes her routine vetting with our shelter veterinarian, including spay, vaccines, heartworm testing, and a microchip — everything she needs to begin her next chapter healthy, happy, and loved. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this fluffy little superstar, please email and submit an online dog adoption application for Sierra. Her adoption fee is $160.

Story
Ricki — your future little shadow! 🐶💕 Ricki is a 6-year-old, 10-lb sweetheart with a gentle personality and a heart full of love. She absolutely adores being petted and held and has all the makings of the perfect lap dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion to curl up with, Ricki may be your girl! ✨ About Ricki: • Age: 6 years • Weight: 10 lbs • Energy Level: Medium • Temperament: Very friendly, sweet, and affectionate • Favorite Activities: Running around in a fenced yard and soaking up attention • Favorite Treats: Low-calorie treats (not picky!) 🍽 Feeding: 4health Small Breed Formula Chicken — ½ cup at 8am and 4pm 💊 Monthly Prevention: Simparica Trio (given on the 1st of each month) 🐾 Training & Manners: • House trained (scratches at sliding glass door to go out) • Will use puppy pad if left alone • Crate trained • Dog friendly (needs time to warm up to medium/large dogs) • Best with kids over 6 ⚠️ Important Notes: Ricki is a runner and will look for opportunities to slip outside. She may rush through doors, so supervision and caution are very important. She would do best in a home that can gate off exits or crate her when leaving, unless she can't get to the door when you get home. 🏡 Ideal Home: Ricki’s perfect home would have: • A secure fenced-in yard (she will check fence lines) • Adults or older, mature children • A family committed to keeping her safe She sleeps happily in her own bed or cuddled up in yours. She wears a collar for tags and uses a harness for walks and car rides. Once comfortable, she does wonderfully with other dogs. Ricki is a loving little companion just waiting for the right home to keep her safe and spoiled. 💕 Could that be you? Apply at Chirp.me/LDR or https://form.jotform.com/193426050531147 Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue. ADOPTION FEE's: Puppies under 6 months:  $199.00 Adults:  $150.00 Seniors (over 7 yrs):  $99.00 If you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application: https://form.jotform.com/193425528783165

Story
This adorable little nugget is Holly! Holly is a 3 year old female Pomeranian/Yorkshire Terrier mix who is more than ready to find her one and only forever home! She weighs approximately 14 pounds and is a sassy but sweet fluffy girl. Just not without some full on Princess moments! Holly is partially house trained (we are told she does okay but is also pad trained), crate trained, good with other dogs (of similar size, we do not know her experience with big dogs), and would likely be fine in a household with cats though we are not sure she has lived with them before or not. She is best in a home without young kids as we think that they may be a little much for her. Teenagers to adult would work just fine. She loves to go for walks and just hang out with her people. It`s really all she wants out of life! Holly does well for the groomer, and the photos show her after a recent groom. If you check out her plume of a tail, you will get the idea as to just how much hair she can actually grow, so anyone who adopts this girlie will need to agree to regular visits to the groomer (probably every 4-6 weeks depending on how short you have her taken down and how much brushing you are willing to do in-between visits).
