He loves our kids, enjoys being part of the family, and is also happy doing his own thing.Chad needs continued help with house-training. We’ve tried different approaches, but he still regularly goes potty inside. He needs someone with the time, patience, and consistency to keep working with him.Rehoming him hasn’t been an easy decision. Lounging on your lap, relaxing beside you in a chair, and soaking up all the snuggles! This senior gentleman believes life is better when you’re comfy and close to your favorite human. 💕 🐕 Foxy is good with other dogs, but he appreciates his personal space and may get growly if another dog gets a little too close. He’d love canine friends who understand boundaries! 👧 Older kids would be the best fit for this little guy. 🐱 Cats are an unknown, so we can’t say how he’d feel about feline roommates just yet! 🏡 Potty trained AND crate trained! Foxy even enjoys taking naps in his crate when the door is left open. His crate is his own little retreat! 💤 🦮 He walks nicely on a leash but prefers shorter strolls. No need for marathon hikes here — Foxy is more of a short walk, long nap kind of gentleman! 😂 🧸 Toys? Meh. Foxy hasn’t shown much interest in them. She absolutely adores being petted and held and has all the makings of the perfect lap dog. She wears a collar for tags and uses a harness for walks and car rides. Once comfortable, she does wonderfully with other dogs. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue.
