Story
**Note: Yeri is a foster home in Toronto. Background Yeri was rescued from a puppy mill in Boryeong, Korea in 2023. She spent two years in a local shelter, but people often passed her by because she was no longer a young dog. We brought her into our care in October 2025, knowing she deserved a real chance. She lived with other dogs at our partner boarding house until she left Korea. She currently lives in a foster home in Toronto. Personality and Socialization Yeri has a low energy level and a gentle spirit. She is quiet, independent, and curious. With new people and new environments, she can be shy and nervous, and it may take some time for her to warm up. Once she feels safe, her gentle and sweet personality begins to show. Yeri is comfortable having her own quiet time and enjoys lounging. She is not a demanding dog and is happy with a calm routine. With other dogs, Yeri does well as long as they are friendly and gentle. She has a special fondness for smaller, calm dogs and prefers them over very active or hyper dogs. Behaviours Yeri is quiet, independant, and has not shown signs of separation anxiety. She does well at vet visits and walks nicely on leash. Baths are not her favorite, but she is patient and lets her person handle it. She can get a little nervous in the car. She uses pee pads and has shown no destructive behaviors. Health and Diet Yeri is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Her dental work and cleaning is complete, and she is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. She had patella luxation surgery in October 2023 and has been recovering very well. Yeri has a small bare patch on her back where her hair does not grow. There is no skin issue. She is healthy and ready for her forever home. Ideal Home Yeri is a gentle, independent, and quiet girl who is looking for a calm and loving home. She would be good for someone who is home often and enjoys a peaceful lifestyle. We are particularly looking for someone patient, as building trust can take time, especially for rescue dogs who have been relocated multiple times. Yeri will need someone who can give her a real chance with time and patience. In return, she will be a loving and loyal companion. ---------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/yeri/

I am still learning about this new environment, but with patience and love, I am ready to be your forever family and friend!    MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I may be shy at first but with snacks and a little bit of time, I will open up quickly and can be pet and be held in your arms! I have yet met children under the age of 13. · With Dogs: I like to say hello to dogs but enjoy my personal space, but I do feel more supported with other dogs around. · With Cats: I am not sure what cats are yet! Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Chester Age: Estimated to be 5-6 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Pomeranian, spitz mix Color: Cream, Beige Weight: 5.38kg / 12lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list—not because of anything I did, but simply because there were too many dogs and not enough space or resources to care for us all. Despite that frightening start, I’ve held onto my sweet, gentle spirit. Now I’m just hoping for a family who will give me the love, safety, and second chance I’ve been waiting for.   MY HEALTH Neutered & Currently no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date Received patellar luxation surgery on both back legs in June 2025.   MY PERSONALITY I’m incredibly cute—people say I look just like a little doll in real life. I’m a calm, gentle soul whose favorite pastime is finding the perfect cozy spot to curl up and soak in some sunshine. What can I say? I’m a bit of a couch potato and definitely an introvert at heart. I’m a super quiet, sweet boy who loves a peaceful, comfy life.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly with people, and nothing makes me happier than soaking up pets and affection while lounging in my favorite resting spot. I’m perfectly fine being picked up too—I love the extra closeness! · With Dogs: I’m a bit more indifferent with dog friends. I politely greet new dogs, but after that I prefer to do my own thing and cozy up in my favorite spot. High-energy or larger dogs can feel a little overwhelming for me, so I’m happiest around calmer companions. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a low, calm energy level—I’m a true couch potato who loves snuggling in my bed all day. Volunteers and staff quickly learned that I’m not shy or scared; I just genuinely enjoy my cozy rest time. At first, I need a little convincing to start my walk (sometimes they pick me up and carry me outside!), but once I’m out in the fresh air, I happily trot along and enjoy a gentle stroll.   TRAINING & HABITS I’ll need a bit more leash training and help building confidence during my walks. When I get scared, I sometimes freeze or lie flat on the ground. I don’t guard my food against people or other dogs, and I’m a very quiet boy who rarely ever barks. I rest calmly in my kennel and potty both indoors (using a pee pad) and outdoors. I may do a little marking at first in a brand-new environment, but that usually improves as I settle in.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family that understands that I will need more guidance with leash walking. Ideally the only dog in the household, or with another calm and low energy dog sibling that can match my energy level.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a super easygoing and very quiet boy, and I’ll be a calm, gentle addition to any family. My favorite activities are doing little sniff inspections and curling up in my favorite resting spot. I don’t have a big appetite, and overall I’m low-maintenance and peaceful. I’m considered a level 2 rescue dog, so I’ll need at least several days to a week to settle into a new environment, and I must be double-leashed outside for my safety. I thrive in calm, predictable homes because loud noises and energetic dogs can overwhelm me. I’m still building my confidence on walks and sometimes freeze when I get scared, so I’ll need a patient family who can guide me with reassurance. I may mark a bit while adjusting, but with consistency, I learn quickly. With the right home, I know I’ll blossom into the sweetest, most loyal companion.   Chester's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2589534##

Story
ALL ABOUT ME   Name: TongTong Age : Around 3 yrs old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Pomeranian mix Colour: White Weight: 5.25kg / 12lb Microchipped: Yes    MY RESCUE STORY Hi, I’m TongTong! I was rescued from a crowded city pound in Gwangju, Korea, where I was sadly placed on the euthanasia list simply due to lack of space. No one knows exactly how I ended up there, but volunteers and staff believe I may have come from a puppy mill. What I do know is that I’m incredibly grateful to have been given a second chance. Despite everything, my heart is full of hope, and I’m ready to leave my past behind and begin a new chapter with a loving forever family. Could that be you?    MY HEALTH - Fully vaccinated - I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues. - Tend to pant a lot, but there has been no medical issues found    MY PERSONALITY I’m a super friendly and affectionate boy who absolutely adores people. I’ll happily trot over for pets and attention, and you can easily scoop me up into your arms—I won’t mind one bit! When I trust you, I’ll even roll over to show you my belly. I’m naturally calm and easygoing, and I prefer to keep the peace. I get along well with other dogs and don’t get caught up in drama—if another pup’s being pushy, I’ll simply walk away. I love water, playing with toys, and curling up in a cozy lap. At heart, I’m a sweet snuggle bug who just wants to share love and joy with my forever family.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m super loving and friendly, and one of my favorite places to be is right in your lap soaking up all the pets! I enjoy meeting new people and happily welcome their attention. I’m very easygoing when it comes to touch—I don’t mind being picked up and absolutely love snuggling close. Though I haven’t met any kids yet, my calm and gentle nature makes me a great candidate for a home with respectful little ones, especially with slow, thoughtful introductions. And just to win your heart a little more—I’ll gladly roll over and show you my belly for extra love!   With Dogs: I’m polite when meeting new dogs and don’t mind a friendly greeting, but I tend to keep to myself and take in my surroundings first. I’m definitely more of a people-pup—I prefer human companionship over playtime with other dogs. That said, I have a calm and easygoing nature. I don’t resource guard my food or toys, and even if another dog is being a bit rude, I choose to walk away peacefully rather than stir up any drama. Harmony is my style!   With Cats:  I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet, but given my sweet and gentle nature, I believe I could get along well with them — especially with slow, thoughtful introductions and a bit of patience.    ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES  I have a low to moderate energy level and consider myself more of a cozy couch potato—sometimes I even like to pretend I’m a stuffed toy! I can get warm pretty easily and tend to pant when I’m tired, so long walks aren’t really my thing. I absolutely love playing in the water, so a swim or just hanging out near water would be a dream for me. Short, gentle walks in cooler weather are my favorite way to get outside and explore   TRAINING & HABITS I know how to potty both indoors and outdoors and usually keep quiet—though I might softly bark when I want your attention. I’m relaxed around people and other dogs, never guarding my toys or food. I’m also great at resting calmly and quietly in my kennel. On walks, I generally follow nicely but sometimes get excited and pull a little when something interesting catches my nose.  MY IDEAL HOME  I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help guide me as I blossom into my true sweet self. I’ll thrive in a home with:   - A family who can provide me with a calm, structured, and safe environment. - A family who likes to spend time together and shower me with love. - I’m perfectly happy as the only dog in the house, but I’d also get along well with a calm, older dog who matches my energy level.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a gentle and loving soul who thrives with patience, kindness, and calm guidance. While I’m happy to be the only pet in the home, I can also do well with a calm, older dog as a companion. Because of my past, I may need a little extra understanding as I continue to grow into my best self. With a family who offers me love, consistency, and gentle support, I’ll become your loyal, affectionate friend for life.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here! Tongtong’s Playlist ##2459224##

QUICK FACTS Name: Ppoya Age: Around 1 Year old (Born in June 2024) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Pomeranian, Spitz mix Color: Brown, Black Weight: 6.6kg / 14.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound, where I faced an uncertain future. Now, I’m dreaming of finding my forever family who will love and cherish me. I’m believed to be a sister to Pyopyo and Pyomi, and it would be wonderful to stay close to my family if possible!   MY HEALTH Spayed & healthy with no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date   MY PERSONALITY Volunteers and staff often call me the cautious and elegant princess type. I’m a sweet and gentle girl, though the world can feel a little scary at first. Every day, I’m gaining more confidence and showing my loving side. I’m very quiet and rarely bark, and while I may be shy, I truly enjoy human companionship and the comfort of gentle affection.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a little shy when we first meet, but I’ll gently take treats from your hand as I start to feel more comfortable. Once I warm up to you, I absolutely adore receiving pets and affection, and I’ll happily snuggle in your arms—you can even pick me up! With a bit of patience, my sweet and loving personality truly shines through. · With Dogs: I’m a bit more indifferent when it comes to other dogs. I enjoy greeting new furry friends, but I don’t jump straight into play—I like to take my time, observe, and do my own thing. I’m happy having my little space while still enjoying the company of other dogs around me. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy my outdoor time, but afterward I’m more than happy to snuggle up and relax indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I still need some guidance with my leash training. I walk well in quieter areas, but loud noises and busy streets can be overwhelming for me. For my safety, it’s essential to keep me double-leashed to a collar and harness, and a GPS tracker is a must when I’m outside. I don’t guard my food against people or dogs. I’m very quiet and rarely bark—which is pretty rare for a Pomeranian! I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and potty both indoors (using a pee pad) and outdoors, though I currently prefer indoor potty.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment. A family that understands my rough past and is patient with me throughout and continue to provide me with basic training and socialization. A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together. A family that will love and cherish me forever. Ideally the only dog in the household   SPECIAL NOTES I’m considered a level 3 rescue dog, which means I’ll need at least a week to feel fully settled in a new environment. I’m a little shy at first, but underneath that shy layer is a sweet and gentle girl who adores people and enjoys the company of my dog friends. At only around 6 months old, I’m still a young pup with so much potential, and with love, patience, and guidance, I know I’ll blossom into a confident and affectionate companion.   Ppoya's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2606400##
