Story
🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster home Hi, my name is Dabok. I’m a Pomeranian mix boy, and I’m estimated to be about 2 years old. I weigh 6.4kg (14.1 lb), which makes me a small, fluffy bundle of love. With my soft white fur, gentle eyes, and the way I wag my tail as I walk up to you, people often tell me I melt their hearts the moment they see me. That’s my special charm—and I love sharing it. But my life didn’t always look this warm and gentle. I was rescued from a shelter where the risk of euthanasia was extremely high. The environment was harsh, and illness was everywhere. Each day, I waited—without knowing if tomorrow would come. And then, at the very last moment, a miracle happened. I was rescued and given another chance at life. Because of what I’ve been through, I treasure human touch and love more than anything. Even the smallest bit of attention means the world to me, and I open my heart sincerely to those who show me kindness. I’m an active yet incredibly affectionate boy. I get along wonderfully with women, men, and children, and I socialize very well with other dogs without conflict. When you pet me, I naturally lean into you, because connecting with people is something I truly enjoy. People often say I feel like I was born to be someone’s companion dog—and I think they’re right. I’m also great on walks! I don’t pull on the leash and walk calmly by your side. I don’t overreact to strangers or other dogs, so our walks together will be peaceful and relaxing. I do well in the car, I’m crate trained, and I’m already trained for outdoor potty habits. That said, when I move into a brand-new environment, I may have a few potty accidents at first. But I already understand the concept, and with love, patience, and a consistent routine, I’ll quickly adjust again. Your understanding and gentle guidance will give me a sense of safety and help me build deep trust with you. My ideal forever family is someone who can embrace my past, see mistakes as part of growing together, and wants to share everyday joys with a loyal companion. If I meet that family, I promise to give back with unwavering trust, a warm presence always by your side, and endless love. I once stood at the door of euthanasia. Now, I stand here—ready to learn love, and ready to give it back. I’m Dabok, and I’m ready to become someone’s forever family.

Story
Bori is a mature, gentle girl who spent a long time in a shelter before being rescued. She is the kind of dog whose presence is so quiet that you might not even notice she’s there— soft, calm, and unobtrusive. She rarely barks and enjoys simply staying close to her person. From the very first moment you meet her, she’s the kind of dog who makes you think, “I just want to hold her.” Bori’s personality is pure gentleness. She is calm, well-mannered, and never disruptive to the atmosphere of a home. She stays quietly by your side, which somehow makes you care for her even more, with a tender feeling in your heart. One important note: Bori tends to chase cats, so a home without cats would be best for her. In a new environment, she may have a few potty accidents at first due to nervousness. With a little time and patience, she will adjust and gradually settle in. Bori doesn’t ask for much. A quiet space, a patient person, and a family willing to spend calm, unhurried time together is all she needs. She isn’t overly affectionate or demanding, but just having her nearby is comforting in itself. That’s the kind of dog Bori is. She is no longer looking to be alone— she is waiting for a family who will stay quietly by her side, just as she will for them. 🐾🤍

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Chester Age: Estimated to be 5-6 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Pomeranian, spitz mix Color: Cream, Beige Weight: 5.38kg / 12lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list—not because of anything I did, but simply because there were too many dogs and not enough space or resources to care for us all. Despite that frightening start, I’ve held onto my sweet, gentle spirit. Now I’m just hoping for a family who will give me the love, safety, and second chance I’ve been waiting for.   MY HEALTH Neutered & Currently no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date Received patellar luxation surgery on both back legs in June 2025.   MY PERSONALITY I’m incredibly cute—people say I look just like a little doll in real life. I’m a calm, gentle soul whose favorite pastime is finding the perfect cozy spot to curl up and soak in some sunshine. What can I say? I’m a bit of a couch potato and definitely an introvert at heart. I’m a super quiet, sweet boy who loves a peaceful, comfy life.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly with people, and nothing makes me happier than soaking up pets and affection while lounging in my favorite resting spot. I’m perfectly fine being picked up too—I love the extra closeness! · With Dogs: I’m a bit more indifferent with dog friends. I politely greet new dogs, but after that I prefer to do my own thing and cozy up in my favorite spot. High-energy or larger dogs can feel a little overwhelming for me, so I’m happiest around calmer companions. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a low, calm energy level—I’m a true couch potato who loves snuggling in my bed all day. Volunteers and staff quickly learned that I’m not shy or scared; I just genuinely enjoy my cozy rest time. At first, I need a little convincing to start my walk (sometimes they pick me up and carry me outside!), but once I’m out in the fresh air, I happily trot along and enjoy a gentle stroll.   TRAINING & HABITS I’ll need a bit more leash training and help building confidence during my walks. When I get scared, I sometimes freeze or lie flat on the ground. I don’t guard my food against people or other dogs, and I’m a very quiet boy who rarely ever barks. I rest calmly in my kennel and potty both indoors (using a pee pad) and outdoors. I may do a little marking at first in a brand-new environment, but that usually improves as I settle in.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family that understands that I will need more guidance with leash walking. Ideally the only dog in the household, or with another calm and low energy dog sibling that can match my energy level.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a super easygoing and very quiet boy, and I’ll be a calm, gentle addition to any family. My favorite activities are doing little sniff inspections and curling up in my favorite resting spot. I don’t have a big appetite, and overall I’m low-maintenance and peaceful. I’m considered a level 2 rescue dog, so I’ll need at least several days to a week to settle into a new environment, and I must be double-leashed outside for my safety. I thrive in calm, predictable homes because loud noises and energetic dogs can overwhelm me. I’m still building my confidence on walks and sometimes freeze when I get scared, so I’ll need a patient family who can guide me with reassurance. I may mark a bit while adjusting, but with consistency, I learn quickly. With the right home, I know I’ll blossom into the sweetest, most loyal companion.   Chester's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2589534##

Story
Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour.

QUICK FACTS Name: Sandeul Age: 2 years old Gender: Male (Neutered/Spayed) Breed: Papillon Mix Color: Brown & White Weight: 8 kg / 17.6 lb Fully Vaccinated, Microchipped, and Dewormed.   MY RESCUE STORY I was a neglected neighborhood dog who was often tied up in front of a convenience store. One day, a private rescuer noticed me and started taking care of me. Eventually, the rescuer asked us to help find me a forever home.   MY HEALTH I am fully vaccinated.   MY PERSONALITY I’m very focused and I follow people really well. I’m ready to move on from past wounds and live happily with a family. I might mark a little in new places, but I absolutely love playing with toys. I’m considered a Level 2 rescue dog, and I look like a Papillon mix.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly and affectionate, so I don’t just get close to people I know—I also approach strangers and rub my body against them, letting them pet me easily. I haven’t had experience being around children under 13 yet. You can lift me by placing your arms under my belly, and I’m comfortable showing my belly even to someone I’m meeting for the first time. · With Dogs: I’m very social, not only with dogs I already know but also with dogs I meet for the first time. I like to approach them, say hello, and invite them to play. I’m generally more friendly and comfortable with dogs that are similar in size to me. · With Cats: I haven’t had any observed interactions with cats, so I’m not sure how I would react to them   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy outdoor activities, but once I come back inside, I usually settle down and rest calmly. I tend to pull on the leash a bit, but overall, I follow my person well.   TRAINING & HABITS I can be protective of my food around people and other dogs, though during profile photos I’m happy to share treats. I sometimes bark to ask for something I want, and I may bark when I see strangers.   MY IDEAL HOME I would thrive in a home that is patient and loving, where I can get plenty of attention and playtime. A family that enjoys outdoor activities and can provide consistent training would be great. I’d do best with people who understand my occasional marking and are gentle with me, and I can live happily with other dogs. Children under 13 should be introduced slowly since I haven’t had much experience with them.   SPECIAL NOTES As a male, I’m likely to mark in new places. In the past, when being held, I sometimes showed signs of being cautious or defensive, so people would use a blanket to pick me up safely. Over time, I’ve become almost completely comfortable with being touched and held, and recently I’ve never tried to bite or show defensive behavior. Now, I’m fine with anyone petting me, and after a few pets, I’ll even roll onto my back to show my belly. I get along well with other dogs too. The last time I showed any sign of biting was a few months ago when I was eating a bone treat. Someone tried to take the bone to give it to another dog, and I nipped once in response.   Sandeul's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2572768##
