Story
Meet Tuukka and Rocky!  Tuuka and his friend Rocky came to us when their owner passed away recently. They are both very sweet boys and love dogs and kids. Tuuka likes to bark at his kitty friends. Tuuka is about 11 or 12 years old and Rocky is about 8-9 years old. They are both very easy going boys. They are mostly housetrained and love to snooze all day on the dog bed. They are both neutered, microchipped, up to date vaccines and heartworm prevention. Their adoption fee is $500 and will also include Tuukas dental with our vet. Story
Ted has been a challenge and we thought he was doing well. He can be a little grumpy so we cannot guarantee that he will be on his best behavior when you visit but we will try. He will need a patient family and he will be great with his caretakers. Probably best with no young children.  The best way to know about one of our residents is to come and visit us on Fridays or Saturdays 10 to 1.  ##2536287##

Story
Donnie was found as a stray and brought to a shelter. Our best guess is that he is a Pomeranian mix, about 6 years old. He currently weighs 15 lbs and seems to be in good body condition. Donnie will need a patient, Pom-savvy family with no small children. He is not thrilled about being groomed or touched around the face, although he allows her foster mom to cuddle and carry her. Donnie walks well on a leash and seems to be potty trained. Ok with most dogs. It's been a tumultuous few days for Donnie, and he is still adjusting to her new situation. He is awaiting a sorely-needed dental and a thorough spa day. He has only been in rescue a short time, and we are working on socializing him and learning more about him. Est. DOB: 7/2019 WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $340 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
UPDATE: Gypsy Rose attended her first Adoption Event and was the star of the show! She greeted everyone eagerly with invitations to rub her belly! Her bark is surprisingly low for a small dog, and she takes new people and dogs in stride. Her foster family has learned that she can be a bit possessive of her people, but that seems logical after what she has been through. She needs a bit of practice walking on a leash but seems excited to explore wherever you may lead her with no complaint. ........................... Gypsy Rose is a 12-year-old lady who Has gone through a traumatic series of events. First, her human mama died, then her doggie sibling, and then her human daddy died, leaving her all alone. The family turned off utilities at the mobile home where Gypsy Rose was eventually found. She is currently recovering from some medical issues including mammary tumors, and her foster family is learning more about her. She just needs a quiet, loving retirement home and lots of love to replace all she has lost. Stay tuned for updates or email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for more information on Gypsy Rose. Story
Meet Drea!  Hi I’m Drea! I’m a rags to riches story for sure. I am 100% in need a fairytale ending, because my beginning was not at all a happily ever after kind of story…   I grew up in a muddy, disgusting yard, with little to no human interaction. Love and Affection? What do those words mean? I had never had anything like that EVER…until I was saved. And even now I’m trying to make sense of it all and learn that people like to snuggle (really had no idea what this one was.. not sure I like it yet but I tolerate it since it seems pretty nice) and pet me…I’m trying to adjust, understand and learn that life isn’t so scary when someone is around to love me.   I’m your typical, Slow and Steady wins the race, kind of gal!! I’m looking for someone who will work with me, and give me time to figure out what this life thing really SHOULD be like. I’m cautious and wary of new people and things, but I really want to keep learning what this love thing really means.   I need a hero. A protector. Someone to come sweep me off my feet, show me life isn’t so scary with people, and treat me with the fairy tale ending I deserve. Oh! And another dog to help show me the ropes on how to manage this new life.     She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Drea is currently being fostered in South Carolina.   ADOPT DREA!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. December 5, 2025, 3:09 pm

Story
Hi! I’m Nigel—and I’m a Priority Pet! Let’s get one thing straight: I may be small, but I’ve got a huge personality! I’m about 9 years old and 100% Pomeranian—loyal, sassy, and totally fabulous. I like to think of myself as the king of the castle, and I’d prefer to keep it that way. That means no kids, no other pets, just you and me living our best lives.I’m a classic Pom through and through: feisty, affectionate, and fiercely devoted to my person. Once I trust you, I’ll be your little shadow and your fiercest protector. I do have some resource guarding quirks, so I need an experienced human who understands my breed and respects my boundaries.I’m looking for a calm, quiet home—maybe with a retired person or someone who works from home. I promise to keep you company, alert you to the mailman, and fill your life with love (and a little attitude). So, if you`re a Pom lover looking for a pint-sized prince to spoil, I’m your guy. Let’s rule the world—just the two of us!Pawmetto Lifeline is offering FREE basic medical care for LIFE for Nigel-all included services listed below!Annual exam for life at Pawmetto LifelineCore Vaccines for life at Pawmetto LifelineFree annual HW test for life at Pawmetto LifelineMedication at cost plus 10% from Pawmetto Lifeline (*doesn`t include HW/Flea prevention)My adoption fee of $450 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention.
