Story
Rudy is an approximately 9-year-old, 15-pound sweetheart with the kind of gentle soul that makes you want to sit down and stay awhile. He came to rescue after being found running loose, and despite posters and social media posts, no one ever came forward to claim him. Their loss is truly someone else’s gain. Rudy is a total couch potato who loves cuddling and being close. He is calm, affectionate, and incredibly easy to have around. He does well with pottying outside as long as he’s taken out regularly and settles into a routine with no fuss. He gets along well with other dogs, ignores cats, and travels beautifully in the car. He walks on leash and enjoys taking his time to explore the world at his own pace. Rudy has limited vision in his right eye, but it does not slow him down or impact his quality of life. He navigates just fine and goes about his day happily. Rudy is a good eater, especially when treats are involved, and has a preference for canned food. Overall, he is a low-maintenance, loving companion who truly just wants a warm lap, a comfy couch, and someone to share snacks with. Rudy is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Rudy is located in Santa Fe, TX, and his adoption fee is $450. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Dexter is an older guy, somewhere around 8–10 years old, about 13 pounds, and honestly just an easy dog to love. He was found as a stray and never reclaimed, which is hard to understand once you meet him because he’s friendly, sweet, and seems happy to be wherever his people are. Dexter is the kind of dog who fits right into your life without needing much from you. He walks nicely on a leash, rides great in the car, and loves tagging along for errands or trips. At home, he’s quiet and content, perfectly happy lounging nearby and keeping you company. He’s affectionate without being demanding and has that calm, steady presence that makes everything feel a little more relaxed. He came into rescue heartworm positive, went through fast kill treatment like a champ, and is now fully cleared. He’s also had an extensive dental and is feeling really good. Overall, he’s in great shape and ready to enjoy a comfortable, loved life. Dexter is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. If you’re looking for a dog who doesn’t need training marathons or constant entertainment, just a couch, a few walks, and someone to sit near, Dexter might be your guy. Dexter is located in Houston, TX, and his adoption fee is $300. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Da Vinci is a 4-year-old, 10-pound orange and white parti Pomeranian with a gentle soul and a sweetness that shows the moment he settles into your arms. He arrives a bit timid, but once he feels safe he becomes the most devoted little snuggle buddy. He loves being close, cuddling in bed, and following his person from room to room with quiet affection. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and does well with cats too. His personality is soft, calm, and easygoing, and he fits into a home without any fuss. Da Vinci is still learning about life outside of a breeder environment, so patience and routine will help him continue building confidence. Like many dogs new to home life, he is working on leash manners and potty training. He does best with structure, gentle encouragement, and a predictable routine. With time, he will thrive under the care of someone who enjoys offering steady guidance and lots of love. If you are looking for a snuggly companion who warms up into a loyal little shadow, Da Vinci is your boy. Da Vinci is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Da Vinci is fostered in College Station, TX, and his adoption fee is $550. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com .

Story
Taz is a 4-month-old, 4-pound blonde and tan Pomeranian puppy with nonstop energy and a personality that fully lives up to his name. Yes, Taz is short for Tasmanian Devil, and once you meet him, it makes perfect sense. He is playful, busy, and always ready for action. Taz is incredibly social and would thrive in a home with another dog to wrestle, chase, and play with. He loves toys, plays hard, and then happily settles in for snuggles when he’s worn out. He eats well, rides great in the car, and is learning to potty outside with continued practice and consistency. He can be vocal, especially when excited or ready to play, so he is best suited for a home rather than apartment living. Taz is still very much a puppy and will do best with an adopter who understands puppy energy and enjoys an active, engaged companion. Taz is a cryptorchid and will need to be neutered when he is older. He is current on vaccinations, dewormed, and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Taz is located in Bryan, TX, and his adoption fee is $800. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Marvin is an easygoing senior gentleman, around 10 years old and about 7 pounds, with the sweetest old man spirit you could ever hope to meet. He’s a Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix with a soft heart, a quiet presence, and a deep love for simple comforts. He sleeps a lot, but when he’s awake he is surprisingly active and happy to toddle around. He potties outside with a routine, though he is not fully housebroken, so his foster uses a belly band at night and takes him out whenever he wakes up and wanders. He loves food more than anything and trots to the kitchen like it is his life’s purpose. Marvin gets along with other dogs in the home and generally keeps to himself. If a dog gets too close to his face, he will give a little warning snap, but he is not aggressive. He ignored the cats completely. He enjoys cuddling but is also perfectly content curling up in his dog bed. He walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and settles easily. He has very light cataracts but does not seem to have any meaningful vision problems. He has no teeth, yet he gets around beautifully and enjoys life with the sweetest, softest energy. Marvin is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental (with extractions), vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Marvin is located in Pearland, TX, and his adoption fee is $250. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Lighta is a 4-year-old, 8-pound sweetheart with a gentle spirit and a shy charm that slowly blossoms into devotion. She can be skittish and timid at first, but once she decides you are safe, she becomes a little shadow who wants to stay close and be part of your day. She does well with other dogs, is fine with cats, and has been good with kids. Lighta is kennel trained and comfortable settling in her crate. She is not leash trained yet and is still learning the ropes of potty training. She currently uses potty pads, and her foster is working on outdoor training, but this will be an area her adopter will need to continue focusing on with patience and consistency. Lighta is a sweet girl who thrives on routine and reassurance. She can be somewhat vocal, so she may be better suited for a home rather than apartment living. With time, structure, and a calm environment, she has the potential to become a deeply loyal and loving companion. Lighta is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. She is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Lighta has a mild luxating patella in her left knee, Grade 2 out of 4, while her right knee is normal. This is not causing her any issues but should be monitored over time. Lighta is located in College Station, TX, and her adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com
