Story
Meet Nemo! Nemo’s story is a bittersweet one. He was originally adopted as a tiny 9-week-old puppy, but through no fault of his own he was recently returned to the rescue just two weeks before his 11th birthday. While it’s a big change after so many years in one home, Nemo has handled it with incredible sweetness and resilience. This little 12-pound Pomeranian mix is the definition of a Velcro dog. He loves being close to his people and will happily follow you from room to room just to keep you company. Nemo is gentle, affectionate, and has a calm, loving personality that makes him a wonderful companion. Despite being a senior, Nemo still has plenty of playful moments! He enjoys: -Going on walks -Chasing squirrels in the backyard -Playing with toys -Wrestling and hanging out with the other dogs in his foster home He gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine friend, but he’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as your one-and-only. Nemo may be entering his golden years, but he still has so much love to give. What he needs most now is a forever home where he’ll be cherished for the rest of his life. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will be your constant companion, Nemo might just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Archer! Breed: Pomeranian x Yorkie MixGender: MaleAge: AdultSize: Small (6 lbs)Good with: All humans, dogs who respect his authority Archer loves every human he has ever met—and we mean EVERY human. This trusting little Pomeranian x Yorkie mix is so confident in the goodness of people that you can literally hold him like a baby and he will eat up the attention for hours. He's the kind of dog who thinks being cradled and adored is basically the perfect way to spend an afternoon (or a whole day, honestly). Now, when it comes to other dogs? Archer can be a bit of the fun police. He's not rude about it—he's just very clear that HE decides when fun is had, thank you very much. He's got that small-dog-big-personality energy where he believes he's in charge of managing the social calendar. Play time? Archer will let you know when it's appropriate. Roughhousing? He'll decide if that's allowed. He's basically a tiny manager who takes his job very seriously. Despite his leadership tendencies with other dogs, Archer is sweet, affectionate, and absolutely devoted to his humans. At just 6 pounds, he's the perfect size for carrying around, snuggling on the couch, or letting him supervise your every move from his favorite perch. His trust in people is heartwarming, and his confidence is honestly impressive for such a small package. Archer would do well in a home where he can be the center of human attention and either be the only dog or live with dogs who don't mind him being the boss. If you're looking for a portable cuddle bug who loves people unconditionally and runs a tight ship with his canine colleagues, Archer is your guy! Ready to welcome Archer into your life? Story
Dexter is an older guy, somewhere around 8–10 years old, about 13 pounds, and honestly just an easy dog to love. He was found as a stray and never reclaimed, which is hard to understand once you meet him because he’s friendly, sweet, and seems happy to be wherever his people are. Dexter is the kind of dog who fits right into your life without needing much from you. He walks nicely on a leash, rides great in the car, and loves tagging along for errands or trips. At home, he’s quiet and content, perfectly happy lounging nearby and keeping you company. He’s affectionate without being demanding and has that calm, steady presence that makes everything feel a little more relaxed. He came into rescue heartworm positive, went through fast kill treatment like a champ, and is now fully cleared. He’s also had an extensive dental and is feeling really good. Overall, he’s in great shape and ready to enjoy a comfortable, loved life. Dexter is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. If you’re looking for a dog who doesn’t need training marathons or constant entertainment, just a couch, a few walks, and someone to sit near, Dexter might be your guy. Dexter is located in Houston, TX, and his adoption fee is $300. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com
