Fizzy has a huge heart and he is a big lover but he has a little wild streak. We need to find him a loving home with a backyard. He is territorial like any dog especially around food. He has nipped and growled before when he feels uncomfortable. He’s a sweetheart but he needs space to run around and a caring loving best friend that understands him.

9 months old and full of personality, Tokyo COH is a Pomsky with charm for days. She has that adorable, fluffy look with bright eyes that light up when she’s excited — and she gets excited often. Tokyo loves to play, especially with toys and balls. She’ll happily chase, carry them around proudly, and invite you into the fun. On leash, she has a bouncy, confident little walk — curious about the world but attentive to her person. She enjoys meeting people and has a friendly, engaging way about her that draws you in. She’s smart, alert, and expressive — the kind of dog who makes eye contact and feels very connected. Owner surrendered through no fault of her own, Tokyo is ready for a home that will keep her active, involved, and loved. Fun, affectionate, and full of life — Tokyo is ready to be someone’s little shadow and adventure buddy. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Story
Our dog got pregnant and had 4 puppies, all of which we were able to rehome, except Zeke. I was reluctant to rehome him because he is very sweet and attached to me. Zeke was born on Nov 6, 2025, he is still fairly young. I hope to find him a family that will understand and love him. He is reactive to other dogs (barks but no bite), and someone that will give him a good daily routine. He has separation anxiety, and has been unable to potty in the indoor wee pad (very rarely has he done so) so he can do with more patience and training. Zeke is fast and loves walks/exercises. We love him very much. He will bark at first but softens up to sweetness and affection

Say hello to this beautiful bonded duo! A volunteer spent time with them and had this to say: `They don’t currently have names, so as always, I started calling them names I made up. The smoother coated mixed breed was “Boots” and the husky was “Sneaker”. Not intentionally shoe themed, but there it is. These 2 stunners are super sweet, in need of a spa day to get those winter sheds handled, and pretty chill when we hung out. Boots is the braver of the 2- coming up to me immediately and bring super curious and trying to hog all the pets being offered. Sneaker is way more shy, slower to warm up and content to hang back a little and just get her measure of me. Once we were hanging out for a bit they both determined I was pretty nice and knew all the good places to scritch and even had a pocket full of treats. We were limited in space, so I didn’t get to see them play or cut loose, how they behave on leash or around other dogs- maybe next time we will. I can say they were very gentle with me, even when pushing each other around. Not particularly reactive to the noise and movement going on around us. I was expecting to get pummeled by young playful dogs but they were very kind and polite. I was honored when Sneaker decided I could give pets and even a kiss on the head- since she’s so shy. We went slow and I had her smiling by the end. They’re really a lovely fluffy duo of ladies that would make for a great family completing pair.` Come to the Burbank Animal Shelter to foster or adopt Boots (A127648) and Sneaker (A127649)

Our lovely boy Bruce has been here for a little over a year. He was quite a sight upon arrival, with just patches of hair, irritated skin, and sad eyes. The staff and volunteers have loved him, medicated him, worked with him, hiked with him, and fostered him, and we can honestly say that he is a fabulous dog.Bruce has food allergies, but the good news is that he has been here so long, we were able to determine the exact food that he can safely eat for the rest of his life to stay healthy, comfortable, and fluffy. He eats Hydrolyzed Protein food only. This food a little more expensive than regular, but he’s worth it. There are several brands that sell this kind of food.Bruce is a lover, he’s affectionate and sweet and just wants to be mellow and hang out with his humans. He’s been great getting baths and has come to enjoy the attention and the way he feels when done. Bruce is not an excessive barker, but he does like to sing/howl, once in a while, remembering his Husky heritage. Bruce is good with older, mellow dogs that are his size. He is not a fan of young, hyper, dogs or small dogs in general. We think he would be good with kids that are 10 yrs and up and not any younger.He is good on a leash but can be reactive to rude dogs and squirrels. After his walks, he loves to go belly up and get a belly rub down from one of his human admirers. After a year in the shelter healing, he is soooooooo ready for a loving, forever, home. Could that home be yours?from a volunteer who takes Bruce out on hikes:We went for a walk in Griffith Park. Bruce is great in the car- no problem getting in or out.We walked for about an hour with a few breaks and he did great - loose leash the whole time. He didn’t react to any other dogs that we encountered. He did pull a bit when he saw the squirrels playing but I corrected him and he listened right away.
