Story
Sammy is a sweet 6–7-year-old dog who has been a beloved part of our family for the past 4 years. He has a gentle, loyal nature and loves being close to his people. Recently, Sammy suffered a spinal injury that left him unable to walk on his back legs. He is currently incontinent and requires daily care, including wearing diapers. Specialists have recommended surgery that could help him walk again, but the cost is unfortunately beyond what our family can afford. My mother, who is 72 and has health challenges of her own, loves Sammy deeply but is no longer able to provide the level of care he now needs. We are hoping to find him a compassionate home—ideally someone experienced with special needs pets—who can give him the care, patience, and love he deserves. This is a very difficult decision, but we want the best possible future for Sammy. He is a loving, resilient dog with so much love left to give.
