Story
Misty is a sweet, funny, interesting, playfull dog, she is 1 year old and 4 months. When we come home from somewhere, she is overly excited, super happy, and she have a very cuteee and funny growl if we don't pay enough attention to her 😅. She loves alot to have belly rubb, to play with her with the toys, especially a ball like soccer way. She loves to run, jump, loves to walk alooot, more like running then a walk 😁, to eat with us all the time, and sleep in bed with my girls. We want to find a new home for her because is to expensive for us, and she is shedding alot, and is hard with our schedule. Some problems that was with her before she had her period, was that she chewed some stuff when was alone, she is scared to go to the Grooming, and she growl bad only if we take some stuff from her mouth that she want's very bad,or at the Grooming, other then that there's no problem with growl or biting. She barks only on the people passing by the door. She is potty trained on a pad in the house.

Story
Young Man A18708242 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old -This sweet young boy is still figuring out the world and would love a patient person to help him build his confidence! Outside, he preferred to take things slowly and calmly explore from a comfortable distance, especially with the busy corner traffic nearby. Once inside and feeling a little more at ease, his playful personality started to shine through!-A little invitation to play was all it took to bring out some adorable spins and zoomies! He occasionally seemed surprised by his own excitement and needed a moment to regroup, but before long he was showing his silly side again—flipping onto his back, wiggling around on the blankets, and happily accepting belly rubs.-He can be sensitive to quick movements at first, but it was wonderful to watch his trust grow. As he became more comfortable, he relaxed more and more and showed just how much potential he has. He enjoys treats, knows “sit,” and takes them gently. He briefly checked out a toy and may discover a bigger love for play as his confidence continues to blossom.-He walks nicely without pulling and is a good young boy who would benefit from continued socialization, patience, and a loving home where he can come out of his shell at his own pace. There’s a playful, wiggly sweetheart in there just waiting to feel safe enough to shine! -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30.**We ask that if you’re looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

He loves belly rubs, treats, toys, you name it!He is a fast learner! He learned to “knock” on the back door with his front paws when he has to go outside. Story
Jefferson A18671548 lb. neutered male, approx 2 years old -This sweet boy may be a little timid at first, but underneath that initial hesitation is a total cuddlebug! He quickly decided that being pressed right up against me was exactly where he wanted to be. Anytime I paused the pets, he would wiggle around in a little circle, press himself back against my legs, and politely ask for more. He’s gentle, calm, and absolutely loves affection, complete with some very sweet kisses.-Once he started feeling comfortable, his playful side made a brief appearance. When I ran around the yard, he joined in with some adorable pouncing and play bows before deciding cuddles were probably more his speed. Inside, we discovered that he’s also a fan of snacks! He sits nicely and takes treats very politely.-When I got down on the floor with him, he curled right up beside me and soon completely melted for belly rubs. If I stopped, his legs would start flailing and he’d paw at me for more. Clearly, he knows how to make sure the belly-rub service stays open!-He isn’t showing much interest in toys right now, but with his sweet, affectionate personality, I think he has plenty of potential to blossom as he becomes more confident. And to top it all off, he walked beautifully on leash. This gentle boy is happiest when he’s close to his person, soaking up love and giving plenty right back.-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.
